Given new information, I will almost definitely be there. Edit: We're still playing right? My clock says 5:49 and Baley and I are the only ones there.

Knowledge is power. So, if your offspring has any hope of one day being a despotic global dictator, tell them to pay attention in school and read for recreation.

Link The basics: News Corporation has agreed to pay $650 million for the IGN network. This includes all of the game sites (gamespy, etc. as well), Rotten Tomato, AskMen.com, and a group of sites hosted by Vault and the Planet. They have placed the acquisition under control of the Fox Interactive Media unit. Bottomline: Expect even worse and more heavily biased coverage in the near future (Q4 2005).

The typical decision is something like "We have 100,000 left in our budget. We can screen 50,000 men for testicular cancer, with a projected result of saving 500 lives. Or we can send one little girl with a rare brain disorder to California for a treatment which has a 10% chance of letting her live 20 years." Government is full of decisions like this. There is no room for philosophical nicety or time for endless debate. The spotlight goes on you and you have to choose. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not sure what you're trying to say here, at least with respect to my post you quoted. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Id say hes trying to draw a parallel in regards to how is the money best spent, but I agree it has little to do with your post. Alanschu is saying: dont choose who to save based on how much theyll pay you. You, Walsingham, are saying: We have a certain amount of money. What would be the best cost/benefit ratio? There is a connection, but it is tenuous.

Indeed you did. I never said I understood the subtleties.

Feargus has to be Kaos, the emptiness from which all things come.

Falls under Desire. I tried to word the aspects such that each can be a good or bad thing.

Indeed. I mean, Baley figured it out pretty quickly. (w00t) "

Barring interference from my maniacal father, I will be there. I make no promises though, as he supports dictatorial parenting. Not that it tends to work well on me, much to his despair. "

The culture which discovered and named the souls are Eastern in heritage and origin. Mono and kami are japanese romanji terms, meaning respectively animal spirit and god(s). I havent found a term for human spirit that I like yet.

Except that a defensive support order is illegal when the supported unit is ordered to move. Thus, since A Tri did not hold, A Bud S A Tri and A Ser S A Tri are illegal. Thus, the three prong attack defeats the two defenders and Italy moves into Trieste. -
Any updates?

I kind of had to guess as to what Bokishi intended, as his orders were rather unclear in parts. The orders as I received them are as follows: A Tri-Tyr A Ser S A Tri A Bud S A Tri A Vie S A Tri-Tyr F Gre-HOLD So I first had to interpret them, then I had to figure out the rules. As I said, the rules .pdf was down when I last looked, and I did these in kind of a hurry, so...yeah. -
I can think of several: Mets and those like him, who inspire us to discuss; Kaftan and Jags, who inspire us to laugh; Epiphany and other trolls, who inspire us to anger; and the Mods, who inspire us to behave.

What are the quintessential RPGs? Those that stick out in your mind above all others? What games should every RPG fan play before truly calling themselves a gamer? Note: I do not have enough experience to contribute, so this a blatant attempt to get tips for games I should play.

Its been updated for about 3 or 4 hours. I forgot to post that here. Sorry. See first post. -
I nominate Volourn for Koalemos, he being the only male daimon that fits.

I had the same problem as you. It was the best I could come up with off the top of my head. Also, Walsingham, I originally had Empathy as a human aspect, but it seemed more hopeful than realistic. Additionally, I am not trying to portray the kami soul as the equivalent of the Judeo-Christian God. More so as an advanced being concerned with mortals, only insofar as it affects the kami's agenda. Thus, Temperance - The ability to control your behavior as you choose. Transcendence - Being above and independent of the material universe; excelling or surpassing usual limits Mutability - Ability to learn, grow, change, etc.; unpredictability Faith - Belief in something. It need not be an overarching goal or philosophy; all that matters is belief in a single thing above all else.

Well to give a little more background, originally humans possessed all three souls, then as a result of some apocalyptic goings-on, the three parts were divided. The majority of humans were left with only the human soul and limited parts of the mono, as humans are animals. Small groups were left with additional remnants of the others, granting them certain abilities. The left over mono and kami souls fused in various combinations to form magical/mythical beasts, spirits, fey, that kind of thing. Also, Id say selfishness was more of a human trait. Animals are not selfish to be selfish. They just focus on their own needs. Also, what I meant by equilbrium was that every creature on this planet, exluding man, forms an inherent balance with its environment.

Thanks for the link. I need some money so I sent them a few ideas I had.

This is another thread asking for a slight amount of help with my novel. Do not feel obligated to participate in any way. A basic premise of my book is that there are three parts to each soul: the mono (animal) soul, the human soul, and the kami (god) soul. I was wondering if anyone could help me with dividing these three into four defining aspects each. My current list is: Mono Instinct Will Need Equilibrium Human Desire Reason Passion Arrogance Kami Temperance Transcendence Mutability Faith Any alterations you would suggest?

I tried to check it, but the rules site is down. Give me some time to correct. -
Should it be acceptable, I would be Wotan, he who sacrificed for knowledge.
