Oof, I just saw that Avowed is set with a 70€ price tag as well... Yeah, nah. I'm out for release purchase. If it's going to hit gamepass, I might consider getting back into that for a month, but I'm sure as hell not buying it on Steam.

I'll wait for when I have a new computer. By that time GOG will give it away for free. Or I'll be roaming a wasteland, fighting people for bottle caps and GOG will be a distant memory.

Sounds like it could be another example of viewers not truly knowing why they didn't enjoy something but knowing that they didn't enjoy it, so they latch onto whatever reason they can and public perception runs with it and subsequently snowballs out of control. It's probably just more fuel to the fire if the actual problems started cropping up way earlier but the majority of viewers failed to notice until the very last second, so they feel like it got dumped on them all of a sudden even when that's not actually the case.

I suggested before that it is Microsoft's way of adding "value" to Gamepass after hiking the price on consoles. "Look how many AAA $70 releases you get". On a sidenotes, it seems the floodgates have been open and games are in general pushing what they can charge.

In truth, that's a fact. One could argue that we never get the choices we deserve because of our pluralistic voting system. But in essence, DJT is the embodiment of American hubris, albeit in its most inane form. We're getting what we deserve.

I just played it recently and stalled about 20 hours in. It was interesting at first, but I lost interest quickly. Alternatively, I've jumped back into Hogwarts Legacy. I bought this on the PC and never got into it, although both my kids loved it and took over all the save slots. I got a PS5 for Xmas, and decided I wanted to see how it looked and played on my big TV. It made a difference. I'm loving it right now and have pushed past my previous game easily. I think it lends itself well to a controller and a giant 4k screen.

Oh look, a part of California is on fire again. If anyone's down there (W. Los Angeles area), stay safe. It's becoming so regular the state is going to have to regulate/force some kind of min. fire insurance from companies or something. edit: passing costs to consumers, which CA I think didn't used to allow, or something - eg, it'll get really pricey Watching old man James Woods relate rescuing an even older neighbor and sob about his destroyed house is a bit surreal.
