They've been talking about a remaster for DS9 for years, but there's also a lot of people who believe the work to do it is prohibitively costly and most likely will never be done (same for Voyager). - Today

While playing last night, I encountered an inventory screen issue that required me to restart the game. I was also able to repeat the menu lockup after the game reloaded. Btw, I'm playing on an Xbox Series X console, and I was hosting a multiplayer game and was the only one in the lobby. To recreate the issue, I opened a storage basket, transferring inventory between myself and the basket. While on my side of the inventory screen, I highlighted a red ant egg and brought up the submenu to look at the recipe for it. After it loaded the recipe menu, no buttons would respond at all. I could still hear background activity sounds from a snail and an aphid passing by, but the B button did not back out of the menu. No buttons would do anything, and I had to quit and reopen the game. I repeated it with the red ant egg and storage basket, but I didn't try to do this with other items. I did not try this with the storage chest because I had not unlocked it yet, and I was so excited to be playing, I just made a note and moved on. Later, while my husband was hosting a different game save and our nephew was playing (all of us on Xbox Series X consoles), the game crashed and kicked us back to the main screen. We were all exploring separate areas, but when the game reloaded, we were in exactly the same position with all the same inventory items. I have nothing specific to report for a root cause; I just wanted to give kudos for the game reloading exactly where we were after a crash. The only other thing we noticed while playing last night was that random rocks and grass kept strobe flashing in and out, while I believe it was time for them to respawn after they'd been harvested. The option to harvest would come up, but we couldn't really interact with the resource to make it stop or go away. However, after about 10-15 minutes, the resources stopped flashing or disappeared. The last issue/question to add is how do you automatically return to sprinting after stamina regenerates? In Grounded 1, when sprint was enabled, it would auto-start sprinting again after stamina refilled. Is that a menu option I have set incorrectly, or was that a change for Grounded 2 to conserve stamina? If so, for quality of life improvement request from myself, can it please be added back as a menu option? Is this the right place to request such a change if this is not a user issue? When farming for resources, I like to put on the aphid slippers and boogie through the yard. But last night, it was kind of annoying to have to keep clicking the left stick to start running again after the stamina bar ran out. Maybe that's a personal preference, but I enjoy being able to zip through the yard for resources or just general exploring, and just keep running. None of this is meant to be negative in any way. I hope it was constructive enough to be repeatable in testing. Some of the new button mapping was a learning curve, but it is so much fun! It is so frustrating when sequels change the original recipe that made the gameplay so great. Fantastic job picking up where we left off and keeping the same gameplay magic while continuing the story and adding to the journey that makes this game so awesome.

Hopefully this makes it to the eyes of the devs, several items noticed. This was all conducted on a shared-world with 3 players on an Xbox Series X with no crossplay. 1. Red Mites attack animation prone to stuttering, creates a blur affect. 2. When depositing items quickly into chests the frames begin to slow down, if you keep going it feels like it might crash the game. 3. Sprinting does not auto turn back when stamina resets from exhaustion. 4. Peep markers will be located ontop of whatever is above where you try to peep, causes confusion. 5. Movement not possible when quick access (LB) menu is open.

Glitch Issue
Tylerrr replied to ThatMattGuy's topic in Grounded 2: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
I’ve seen some too, for example… when I died all the UI was gone and I was just staring at my backpack on the floor, couldn’t do anything at all, and the worst part is when I logged back In… all my armor and weapons were gone, everything in my hotbar.. gone.. this is probably a glitch/lag on my part but, every time I fight ANY insect, my movement is delayed slightly. And my hatchery disappeared which is odd but besides that it’s fun anyway :DD -
Signed up for an account just now to say that I fully agree with all of the QoL/design arguments after having player for a few hours now. Hopefully parroting your thoughts will give more visibility to the these items as I think they are REALLY important for Obsidian to nail down before doing anything else. If the core aspects of the game are not enjoyable/smooth then it's really going to make simply exploring the world a hassle. Which

My friend and I encountered a Scorpion in the early game and ran from it. We retreated all the way to our beginning base near the first ranger station. We then went out to get some more materials in that area only to find the scorpion had chased us all the way back to our base. We could not lose the scorpion despite our best efforts. It was like once it saw us, it followed us everywhere. Our deaths didn’t change anything, sleeping didn’t change anything, quitting and logging back in didn’t change it. The only thing that fixed it was to cheese kill the scorpion. The scorpion should not be able to track us indefinitely.

Hello fellow grounded players. I just want to bring to the devs attention that I cant see the outer 4 corners of my H.U.D. in menu because of the odd shape my TV has. I had this problem with the first grounded but said nothing. I am hoping it is possible to get an aspect ratio option in menu to fix this so I can finally see the full menu screen. Does anyone else have this issue or is my TV just strange?

I've been playing for about 10 hours now, and I'm currently at the picnic and trash area. So far, what I have the most to say about is the mount gameplay — it's incredible. The movement, the mechanics — I liked everything. However, it's a bit buggy sometimes. At one point, my little creature was spawning behind the anthill, but there was a rock there, which caused it to spawn inside the rock and allowed me to enter it too, leaving me stuck trying to get my bug out of there. I also think it's frustrating when I'm trying to run away, and my little bug keeps fighting. I wish that if I moved a certain distance away and called it to follow me, it would immediately stop whatever it's doing and come to my position, avoiding conflict sometimes. I also wish the bugs had more health. Not that their HP is necessarily low, but it feels very undervalued. Basically, just sleeping or putting them in the anthill magically heals them, and I wanted to feel the impact of my bug losing health. I'd like to be able to heal it myself or even wait inside the anthill for it to recover. Combat is a thousand times better in this game. I feel way more control and responsiveness, and I'm really enjoying it. I just wish there was a way to clearly see the "class" of each weapon. Like, a dagger that deals poke damage — cool. But if it's a dagger that deals slash, or like the mite gloves that deal slash damage but seem to be unarmed — I can tell the difference, but I wish it were clearer, because otherwise, I feel like I'm solving a puzzle just to understand it. One time my 2 backpack, was send into the void under the map, was in the cavern under the hot dog shop. Other than that, everything's been really fun and full of exploration. The only thing I have to say is that I hate those spiderlings scattered all over the map. Aaaaa LOL

I wish they'd do an HD remaster of DS9 like they did for TNG but I do believe there is a fan/community upscale project. -
Bug: After relocating eggs during the mission to capture a red soldier ant egg, in a team of 3 people we relocated 3 eggs from the Anthill to our base. We set two of those eggs on the floor while we incubated one egg. Shortly after completion of the first egg, the other two eggs went bad and became rotten eggs. We traveled back to the Anthill to secure more eggs but only 1 of the original 4 remained, thus depriving us of the additional mount for our third player. REPRO: Collect Red Soldier Ant Eggs. Remove eggs and place outside of Anthill. Wait for expiration of eggs. Solution: Set flag on quest items to not have a spoil/expiration timer.

I watch RLM and occasionally Daily Show clips. I have premium that I got with something. There was a Shadowrun lore podcast that I would also watch but they haven't dropped anything in a long while. That's about it. I still don't really browse or anything. My son had YT kids but I blocked it because I thought it was mostly all trash because it's all watching other kids unbox and/or play with toys and weird obnoxious kids. /Grumpy old man yelling at clouds -

just started playing the game about 10 hours ago, been playing the entire time, while playing the game has crashed about 6 times all together and i have barely started, been hosting a multiplayer game with 2 friends on xbox series x and pretty much every 2 hours or less the game crashes, my friends even hopped off for the night and the game is still crashing, also when i try to load my world that i started with them the game tries loading my saves for about 2 seconds and immediately crashes as well making loading in, in single player on that save as of right now impossible, in game bugs that i have come across so far is alot of insect have been clipping into the terrain, can't get to them since they have been inside rocks, tree roots, and just inside the ground in general in the north ant hill hatchery, found a few ants inside the walls a couple times as well, will update post with any other bugs/glitches i find

Same gameplay with new characters and a few different abilities. It only has one morality axis - you either do good or do evil. That is a bit disappointing. It also has a very small cast of heroes. You recruit the full team and that's it. They can't die though. About 20+ hours of gameplay. A bit more compact, but since you like the original you will like this. And the characters have different enough gameplay to the original classes that it doesn't go stale.
