VVont0n started following Grounded 2: Announcement & News
-
Same thing happened to me. I share a world with my brother and died 6 times trying to get a red soldier ant egg for each of us and a big Northern scorpion followed us home and recked our base. I log back on and my buggy is gone but his buggy is not gone. I tried to load an old save but nothing. I really need a save because I can’t die again trying to get another egg.

Milkweed pod do not respawn
Ziiant replied to Dominik Southerland's topic in Grounded 2: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
Having the same issue but several husky weed plants and dandelions are also refusing to respawn. The two near the first ranger station/outpost respawned around four times since I started the world but after about 20 in game days they stopped. Now I'm on day 49 and haven't seen any husky weed respawn or the milkweed pods. -
Jawn_Boat started following Possible katsaridaphobia mode
-
Hello Grounded community! I have been playing Grounded since around 2021 and have loved every minute of it. So I was excited to hear about Grounded 2 being released, with all the new bugs and possibilities I knew I would be playing non stop for weeks and I still am. However I have one issue that I was hoping to have help with. I have been diagnosed with PNES, its a neurological condition, think of them like stress induced seizures. That is not really the problem though, the problem is that I also have katsaridaphobia, which is like arachnaphobia but for ****roaches. I am currently undergoing therapy for both of these conditions however i still get panic attacks and occasionally seizures when a giant ****roach runs across my screen. I cant muster up enough courage to kill them or even get near them. Because of this I was hoping it is possible to add a phobia mode for the ****roaches. The Nymphs don't bother me whatsoever and I actually think they're kind of cute, it is just adult ****roaches (and of course the queen lol) that bother me. I do not expect to be catered to, as I know there is so many phobias for insects, and its almost impossible with all the amazing bugs in the game to add a phobia mode for all of them. However I was just "shooting my shot" and wanted to see if it could be done. With great love -Jawn_Boat

Founder's skins missing.
Benjamin Gogan replied to Raiyside's topic in Grounded 2: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
This is happening to me as well. I've verified the integrity of the files and everything but steam says its in my library but it still wants me to buy it. -
Big fan of Grounded 2! Not sure if it’s just me but when you display duel wield weapons on weapon wall mounts they sink inside the weapon wall mount. They hardly display the daggers. Not that big of a deal but just a detail I noticed. Specifically, Mitey Claws will float above the weapon wall mount. It doesn’t even sink inside like the other duel wield weapons oddly enough. All of the other weapon types display properly just not the duel wielded ones.

Difficult Battles (less frustrating?)
RichyPier replied to RichyPier's topic in Grounded 2: Feedback & Suggestions
Thanks for your answer, @karmicaura! I think the abilities are well-designed, too. It's just tiring for me when I come back from death, my armor is gone, my arrows and medicine are used up (that is all ok), and the enemy is back to full health (that feels a little unfair for me). It often annoys me, but I either come back stronger or just leave it. I would like it if enemies regenerated their health more slowly, maybe only when they're asleep or something.- 2 replies

I just watched episode 5 of Dandadan (season 2)... Momo's and Okaruns relationship has evolved so much they can now touch each others fingertips and only flinch a bit... Jiji can be his own abnormal normal self when not getting in touch with cold liquids (I got Gremlins vibes somehow), Taro is no longer needed to constrain Jiji, The boss lady of the crime family is not human at all, Momo invites Aira and Okarun over to her place for a sleepover, Okarun accidentally spills soy sauce on Jiji's finger and the entire house explodes in violently released energy from the Purple Eye that is trapped inside Jiji. Lots and lots more happening... and it would take longer to summarize it than tell people to just spend the 25 minutes to watch it Edit: Turbo Granny is grumpy because Momo has misplaced her fluffy cushions

invisible bugs
DissociationStation replied to eurosyne's topic in Grounded 2: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
I have totally noticed this as well. Yesterday while in the berry patches I was on low health and could hear a mite but couldn't see it. It ended up being my demise and I was really mad I got killed by an invisible mite lol. We have also experienced this with larva as well. -
We are stuck on the milk molar part of this quest from the orb weavers not existing. However, we did notice during the berry patch part that one of the bees was fine and above ground. The second bee however was glitches almost entirely into the ground. Our ants weren't able to attack it, and my husband couldn't hit it with his sword, but I could hit it with arrows as it "flew up" slightly higher out of the ground. I have a feeling this is probably what's unfortunately happening with this quest line is bugs underground.

Solution: stop infite sizzle buring I had the same issue. Kept loading my save and kept dying from burn. Over and over. however ! after many many deaths, i eventually tried selecting "respawn at nearest outpost" And somehow that worked for me. (Lucky i set respawn point in one of the beds in the statue.) Went back to the queen fight, and the sizzel didnt last long. Even disapeard completely multiple times during fight. Just how it was intended. Hope it works for someone else too!

Please add an item lock, I don’t know why but I sometimes lose equipment from my inventory and idk if it’s because I accidentally threw it, or trashed it or what, but an item lock would help with that. Plus for hot deposit purposes it would be handy.

Add the feature to use bows on buggies to make them more useful for combat and to encourage people to stay on their buggy even during a fight

I was stocked when Grounded 2 was announced and videos showed dual wielding in the game. It was something I really wanted in Grounded 1. While I am enjoying dual wielding so far I do find it to be lacking. My main issue is the rigidity of it and Dual Wield being an item type instead of an option for one handed weapons. I understand why the decision was made to have it this way. When you allow all one handed weapons to be dual wielded you need to have animation and attack patterns for all combinations of weapon types, and when all dual wield weapons are a single item type you can apply a single type of heavy attack to it like it is currently and then design gear around it. This is another complaint all together as it seems most of all of the rogue gear revolves around the dash at least up until tier 3 wolf armor. While those make sense from a design point, from a fun point I enjoy mixing and matching weapons to provide different benefits or to match a certain style. For example if you had a dagger that provided venom and then a dagger that provided a slow you could use both to create a style of applying the debuffs and kiting your targets around, or you could go with something like a one-handed mace/hammer for stun and then a fast dagger for crits on the stunned target. Even then you could just go with 2 one handed maces/hammers for that wild and fast barbaric crusher feel. You also get the benefit of being able to swap between dual wielding and shields or a light source while still using your main weapons and styles that you have been focusing on. You could also involve tools and single use items in the off hand. Things like bratbursts, healbasas, and glowsticks. I know implementing this would screw up the current dash heavy attack for the dual wield weapons, but an answer to this could be to use the heavy attack of the strong hand/main hand weapon. The dash can be moved to daggers and fist weapons could get their own heavy attack. You could also change some of the rogue gear buffs to be for the heavy attack of any weapon marked as a rogue weapon while keeping some as the dash.

Key Bindings (Buggy Controls)
Joshua Scott replied to LiminalLadd's topic in Grounded 2: Feedback & Suggestions
I would like to bump this. I am also an esdf player. Made sense since that is similar to where your hands are on a keyboard when you type. I use E as my forward movement key since its also hardcoded to buggie gathering I can't move forward. I would like it if I could rebind all buggie controls so the buggie movement and my normal movement are shared and all special buggie actions can be on what ever keys I want. -
necrofil started following Fresh start/wipe after major update ?
-
Hi! I just want to know if we'll need to do a fresh start after each major updates of the game, or just the 1.0 version ? We already finished the story of EA, so I'm just wondering if continuing some bases building is a waste of time or not. Thanks!!

Aenarchae started following audio needs tuning
-
First off, Grounded was my favorite game I've played and I'm thrilled to discover what Grounded 2 can grow to become. I'm having a problem with the audio- specifically when dumping into storage (on PC, holding the E button while highlighting a chest by looking at it), the sound effect is deafeningly loud. No other sound in the game is quite as loud. I am using Logitech G733 suround sound headphones and their surround sound processing while playing. I have not yet tried using Dolby DTS, but that's my next option. I typically have the music at 26% percent and effects at 100% because I enjoy using positional audio to hunt for bugs, but I may have to adjust these levels until this can be fixed.

Me and my friend both finished the story last night. We completed all but one of Ranger challenges and have gotten almost all the milk molars however there are a lot of bugs. (Obviously it’s early access) major issue is the crash’s don’t knoe if that problem can be addressed in early access or not but that’s a big one. Another is back packs falling under the map, you die and your pack is just forever 75 cm under the ground it sucks. Orb weaver mount get caught on things. And bees just don’t work they constant fly out of the skybox and bug out. I honestly have nothing but good stuff to say about this game I loved it and can’t wait for more content!

I was checking which O.R.C bugs i needed and I needed the O.R.C weaver jr so I went into the statue to get this Peep.r card and I tried Peeping and it already showed the side bar as if I had it peeped and I checked my creature cards and it said I didnt have it.

I never have issues with keeping the animal companion alive, especially when it's a bear. Just don't use it as a tank, instead keep it back for a few seconds, let the real tank handle the incoming enemies and use the AC to flank - then it's totally fine imo. I played a solo melee Stalker/Bloodmage with little means to heal my bear and it went very well. If you have a Chanter (like your Shieldbearer/Troubadour or the Wildrhymer) in the party then even better: should you screw up and your AC goes down you can revive it unlimited times with "Rise Again" (PL4): animal companions never get injured and phrases are unlimited. And you can have some other means of rivival besides that (Paladin, Ranger himself). But I think with the occasional healing from White Flames, Lay on Hands from two Paladins etc. you should be totally fine. Since you also bring a Cipher (Seer): Pain Block is excellent on a bear.
