I think we were able to discuss here in 2004, during development. Then bioboards took over at the end of 04. I still haven't finished it

If I remember correctly, it was a decision made by Atari, being the big guy at the time calling the shots. They probably expected the Bioware community to outlive the Obsidian community ;)

Yep, there were NWN2 forums here during development. Ferret, MCA and Feargus were occasional posters, then.

Yes, the same company that wrestled the D&D IP from Interplay and killed off "The Black Hound" project. It's a strange world sometimes.

And it wasn't actually "ATARI", but rather Infogrames which was once a great, classic developer.
