any ETA on fix for summons that spawn without proper "weapons" and spells?

as some might have already noticed, many summons are spawning without their proper weapons and spells

 

 

substancial phantom spawns without being able to cast spells and just goes around punching enemies for laughably low damage, dichotomous soul clones spawn without their "weapons" (they do pitiful unarmed crush damage)

In the meantime one (granted rather cheesy) way to get some use out of them is they seem to get the bound spells of any items you're wearing, or at least the substantial phantom does. This of course turns 'per day' uses into 'per summon'..  Only actual equipment though not quick items

Probably best to limit the items you put on your character to squeeze use out of this though since summons that summon summons per combat is....broken :p


*Edit*...Now to find an item with Substantial Phantom as a bound spell and see how many summons you can push out before the engine crashes ;)

i noticed xoti's clones had the lesser lay on hand from the healing hands gloves, bur what about abilities from weapons?

Yeah weapons seem like a no go sadly with the whole punching thing (tested throwing on a weapon with a per day cast and it didn't appear).  So it still remains...dubiously useful unless you gear for it which is unfortunate.  Although if you do happen to have at least 2 good bound spell items on your character you get a 2 for the price of 1+a distraction :p.  Hopefully it'll be fixed soon.

guess we'll have to wait for whatever comes after 1.1 :^(

 

at least 1.1 did add a lot of good changes

 

EDIT: while a previous patch made substantial phantom spawn with its spells, the changes to have it join steam instead of party and its AI... not working prevents us from making use of the spells
