Another month to wait, kind painful, but I'm ok with that as long as they can achieve something with the extra time.

On the one hand I'm glad they are taking their time to polish the game, on the other hand I won't have to work the entire April and was looking forward to some intense gaming. Sooooo....not sure how to feel. :skeptical:

why do companies give a release date if the game hasn‘t gone past release candidate and reached gold though? If they hadn‘t given a release date but stayed with spring 2018 then a second release date – which is perhaps also questionable – wouldn‘t have been necessary. Even if the game would be released early June, spring 2018 would be acceptable. Some people are planning around the release date (not me though) but now can‘t play it in their scheduled free time. I‘d wish companies would act more responsible when giving out dates, i mean what‘s the benefit of it? Putting additional pressure on your own people to finish the game? Disappointing people who calculated their schedule around the release?

It was announced rather late, I agree. Just 20 days before the release date. There must have been a few really nasty bugs, given this audacious decision.

The only issue I have with this delay is how close to release it was made.

Besides that I would prefer all the bug and balancing stuff happens as much as possible. I only have one chance to play this game for the first time. I want it to be as good as possible.

Well said.

Totally fine with Obs taking the time they need.

Same here. I'd rather Obsidian take their time than trying to rush it.

I was ready to wait for these ~20 days.

But now, I would definitely like having a new build of the Backer Beta even more...

Unlickely to happen though.

Doubt they have the manpower to focus on both.

Flouride mentioned elsewhere that her producer role was somewhat limited. If true, then the two events aren’t related.

If untrue, then I imagine there might have been some issue with her futzing around with puppets for two weeks while her timelines got blown. Project Manager is always responsible for the status of his or her project. And I haven’t seen anything from Feargus re: her departure.

My 2 cents

To start with, can you tell me a bit about your role on the project?

Katrina: “For my specific role, I am in charge of our crowdfunding campaign and all of the backer rewards and getting better content into the game. Additionally, I am the art producer so I'm handling all of our artists for the game. I handle a lot of their tasking, and scheduling, and making sure that we get stuff done on time.”"

This almost certainly rules out any connection between the two events. Content-wise and art-wise, the game's finished by now, that's for sure.

Definitely. A Stream ?

No need for Devs, just Aarik // Mikey & the QA Guy !

[About our Backer's Physical Goods though, I wonder now... Delayed aswell I guess]

I suspect that fulfillment is done and shipping is...being handled.

I mean Josh did post on twitter that the delay is for bug-squashing.

I'm still amazed its not going to be released 3rd quarter. When they said spring 2018 during the fig campaign I laughed (just goes to show me).

Well, he posted a link on twitter to the tumblr, which is how i found it.

Shut up.  ;(

Much needed.

Count me as another one who planned a week of vacation around Apr launch... and while my manager would gladly change it for me, my girlfriend might not be so glad to considering she chose her vacation week to match mine already...

As for a new Backer Beta build,

I'd be happy with the same content, but with full unlocked Character Creation features.

Just for Day one Character testings. :D
