0 smjjames Posted November 16, 2017 Posted November 16, 2017 Isn't alt F4 the method to force shut down a window?...... I guess you found out that trolling newbs with it will still work....
0 Xaratas Posted November 16, 2017 Author Posted November 16, 2017 Alt + F4 is the general hotkey for „exit program“ but it should not end in an access violation while doing that. More modding for PoE II | How to Work with Stringtables
0 smjjames Posted November 16, 2017 Posted November 16, 2017 I see, didn't catch that part. Also can't open a zip file on mobile as computer is in for repairs until the 22nd.
0 Cdiaz Posted November 16, 2017 Posted November 16, 2017 Thanks Xaratas! I've entered your crash info into our databases for our "Top Men" to take a look at. You the best, -Caleb I like big bugs and I cannot lie...
0 Xaratas Posted November 18, 2017 Author Posted November 18, 2017 (edited) No crash, only a „application hang“ What happend before: I got wiped by a group of Xaurips, clicked quit on the you have died sceen and the game transitioned to the main menu. At least thats what the log says. It did not arrive there, the screen stayed black and windows came helpfully with the „not responding“ dialog. So here is the Windows stuff and the log. 0 Madscientist Posted November 18, 2017 Posted November 18, 2017 I have created a new game, spend some time in character creation, spend some time while leveling the char up, then I opened the menu and chose quit game. A long time happened nothing, then a windows message appeared telling me that the program does not react and asks me to end the programm. This is the first time it happened. I did just create a char to post the build. I play so slow that will never be able to play with all the chars I can imagine. 1

0 Nail Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 I got no crashes at all. Only two things bothering me at current state: First time you enter Poko Kohara Ruins - massive frame drop for 10 seconds or so, then stabilizes. After playing around an hour when you exit the game it never exits correctly, always hangs up, so you have to shut down it through task manager. (waiting for response) Done this with Moon Godlike Wizard Perebor steam
0 Xaratas Posted November 29, 2017 Author Posted November 29, 2017 Not a hard crash but graphics just stopped to be redrawn. After alt + tab nothing returned The log was spammed with: d3d11: failed to create staging 2D texture w=64 h=64 d3dfmt=2 [887a0005]d3d11: failed to create staging 2D texture w=64 h=64 d3dfmt=2 [887a0005]d3d11: failed to create staging 2D texture w=64 h=64 d3dfmt=2 [887a0005]d3d11: failed to create staging 2D texture w=106 h=165 d3dfmt=65 [887a0005]d3d11: failed to create staging 2D texture w=64 h=64 d3dfmt=2 [887a0005]d3d11: failed to create staging 2D texture w=64 h=64 d3dfmt=2 [887a0005]d3d11: failed to create staging 2D texture w=64 h=64 d3dfmt=2 [887a0005]d3d11: failed to create staging 2D texture w=106 h=165 d3dfmt=65 [887a0005] and a while after that with: d3d11: attempt to lock null bufferd3d11: attempt to lock null bufferd3d11: attempt to lock null bufferd3d11: attempt to lock null buffer ~117k lines in less than 2 minutes. Maybe necessary to rebuild that problem: I have enabled the nav mesh, no fog and the layer toggle, (the one which draws some green rectangles at weird posisitions). And followed the torch guy in the city for 2 full rounds. Disturbing the first round a few times with waits. output_log.zip More modding for PoE II | How to Work with Stringtables
0 Xaratas Posted November 29, 2017 Author Posted November 29, 2017 Speaking of the Crashthread, now i got one. Game restarted, none of the debug toggles active, party and i were doing nothing. Waited a few minutes (was afk). Before I went the torches were unlit, after i came back the screen was frozen with the torches lit up. Its possible that changing the physx setting from cpu to gpu midgame has some role in it. 2017-11-29_224112.zip More modding for PoE II | How to Work with Stringtables

That's just sad for 2018.Maybe it's time to get a Proboards account because these forums are horrible for this day & age. I don't know about your crash, but new users need to have their first few posts approved by moderators I cannot - yet I must. How do you calculate that? At what point on the graph do "must" and "cannot" meet? Yet I must - but I cannot! ~ Ro-Man
