36 dead, 147 injured. I somehow doubt that this attack was conducted by the kurdish nationalists.

You'd think suicide bombing would be a hard sell for an atheist.

Not really. Eternal reward is probably less of a motivator than sheer fanaticism for a cause.

Definitely looks like ISIS though they usually claim responsibility fairly quickly. But Kurdish groups (especially TAK) have used suicide bombings before despite being secular/ atheist in philosophy.

41 dead now and still no official word from any group. Quite odd indeed.

What are you talking about? The heavenly blessing of suicidial sacrifice for The Great Lord Athe with his eternal tipping of the Fedora can make even the most meek one enlightened into a fanatical frenzy.

This is no joking matter.

In some ways nationalism is just religion with a different faceplate, and one of them is their ability to inspire fanaticism and get people to do extreme things for the cause and to be remembered.

Totally outrageous Germany still hasn't banned full-auto rifles and rocket launchers: http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/437313/germany-really-needs-give-some-thought-banning-rocket-launchers

You really are a guzzler for trash "journalism" aren't you?

The picture used in the "article" is a stock photo at least a year old. In the original piece linked by Mr. French, no mention is made of RPGs or even automatic rifles, just unspecified "war grade" weapons.

How many mass shootings have occurred in Germany in the last decade and what has been done in response? How many in the US, and what has been done in response? Yeah...

Seriously, stop reading that tripe. It's rotting your brain.

OK, then Daily Express published a misleading photo. I don't really know which British papers are reliable. I expected French to check his sources, good thing he didn't run for president. Edit: Actually more than misleading, the photo is clearly labeled "the stockpile of weapons found near the mosque".

Anything British with 'Daily' in it is deeply unreliable. Daily Mail/ Mirror/ Express are all crap with different biases, The Sun manages to somehow be worse than all of them but fortunately no one ever seems to link to it. They're all Tabloids and basically the Gawkers of the newspaper world, utterly concerned with pageviews/ circulation/ sensationalism especially when it plays into their readers' biases. The Broadsheets (most of which are actually tabloid format now) are the Telegraph*/ Torygraph which is pro Conservative, The Times which is pro Murdoch, The Independent which is adequately neutral most of the time, and The Grauniad/ Guardian which is SJW central left biased.

*Technically it's the Daily Telegraph which is kind of appropriate as it's gone down the toilet recently in terms of quality. Due to its readership it's very much Stiff Upper Lip Old Empire clickbait they produce though which is at least amusing.

American press is also deeply biased, and constantly prints misleading/biased information, most often through lying by omission or emphasis. But most "respectable" sources at least have the standards not to put a patently false heading on a photo.

Tbh I think the problem with our press is more important than who are next president is gonna be. I think our press is the reason for ALOT of our social problems over here.
