When trying to fight an henchmen Hook Mountain Hag with Lini, she (Lini) doesnt have a chance to do the Divine check to be able to use spells, just goes to the Combat check, with the spells shackled.

In 1.0.3, how they implemented these pass-a-check-to-play-a-card powers is, the card is shackled, but if you try to play it, the app prompts you to make the check.

It's a little confusing. It looks like the app has already decided you can't play the card, but it's not so.

Yes, it is indeed confusing, the shackes should only appear AFTER the check failed IMO, no need to add those before trying the check (or mark them some other way).

That's an absurd way to implement that particular rule. I was about to post this as a bug until I read this. I hope they would change how it is implemented such that the shackles appear AFTER the check is failed.

I just found this bug as well. My Seoni came up against the Hook Mountain Hag and never had a chance to make an Arcane 8 check, it went straight to combat. Seoni is pretty much screwed where she would have had an excellent chance to make that check.

EDIT: I am using the latest version from the play store.

Screenshot where it just went straight to combat:

Hey guys,

Elcoderdude is correct, but the bug is that the cards are pre shackled when they shouldn't be. Its just a UI issue and has been reported.

Thanks a bunch!

Ahhh I see. I could have actually attempted to use that spell when I acted, and the check would have happened then. I think I was confusing what "before you act" meant. I think the cards being chained also led to the confusion. :)

I think I found a Barl Breakbones bug that i'll make another post for.
