I'm having the same problem.  On iPad, update, close the app, restart the device, still says I need to update.  The Store will not let me download again, it just says "Open".

 

Is it safe to delete the app and re-download, or will I lose my save file?

Installed iOS update, and like the others posted, the game thinks I still need an update. Can't access store.

 

Quest finally works, but says I have to be connected to social media to collect gold. What does that mean?

 

In quest mode, when experienced is selected, multiple versions of Kyra and Meriseil appear with numbers going up from 1-6. What does that mean?

Closing the app, and restarting the iPad had no effect.

Close out the game completely, Go into the App Store, and then to update and update the game manually. Then go back into the game. 

I downloaded the update with the app being closed. After the update finished, I launched the app and app said it needed to be updated. Closed the app and relaunched several times with the same result.

 

Is there something on your end that's checking the version of the app before it allows it to connect to your servers? If so, perhaps the information isn't matching.

Seems to be working now after closing and opening from store update.

Once the game has been updated there is no way to force iOS to reinstall without first deleting the game.

can only delete one character at a time when attempting to manage characters in Quest mode. Have to back out of quests and back in to delete one, then back out and in again. so on and so on.

 

Happens in Story mode too.

For some reason Android does not show update available. Could it be region based limit, so that in some regions the google store has not been updated?

 

Ps. Is there any easy way of checking the version Number inside the app. The app store says still that it is version 1.00 but it would be nice to check it anyway.

The App-page in the play store itself doesn't Show an update Button. But I could installl the update with the update all Button in my App overview just fine.

I see that the game is still unavailable on iPhone. I thought you said you didn't mean to lock out phones and in fact the game is available for download on android phones, but not on iPhones. i thought this first bugs-fixing patch could be a chance to allow game installation on iPhones too.

 

i know the UI isn't optimized for phones, but some of us that know the game well and don't have iPads would really love to start playing even with a not-ideal UI.

I've seen it on a 5" Android phone and it's not that bad. It surely is better than not being able to play.

Apple is pretty picky about apps. It's quite possible that until the game is fully optimized for iOS phones in the future, that Apple won't allow it.
