I'be had this issue since the last backer beta and it is in the full game as well. When I put a cape or a cloak on a character it does not show up on the inventory model or ingame. It had been working in the earlier betas though

27" iMac

i5

Nvidia 680MX

OS X Yosemite

I can confirm that. I'm playing the game on a 2014 Macbook Air 11".

Same for me.  No capes or cloaks.

2013 MacBook Pro (retina 15 inch)

2.7GHz Intel Core i&

Intel HD Graphics 4000

Same here - got my first cloak and not showing up on character models

MacBook Pro

Retina 15 inch 2013

NVIDIA GeForce GT 750M 2048MB

2.3 Ghz Interl Core i7

Same for me.

2012 Macbook Pro Retina 15"

NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024mb

2.3 GHz Intel Core i7

Same here. Looks like a universal Mac/Linux issue.

2013 Macbook Air 13''

Intel HD Graphics 5000

1.7 GHz Intel Core i7

OSX Yosemite

I'm also experiencing this issue.

I hear that people on Linux are having the same issue

Same problem here... No answer or comments from Obsidian yet? Guess we must Quest without capes for the moment...

Same problem to me, on Linux.

When i reported the problem under Linux I got this answer.

http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/72520-cloaks-are-not-shown-on-characterlinux

Hello rftl,

Shroud, the plugin we are using to support our capes and cloaks in game is not supported by Linux. It's something that we are trying to find other ways to support in the future, but we were not able to get this in by launch.

Hopefully in future updates we will have this feature fully supported for all platforms.

Thank you for your support.  thumbsup.gif

Probably the same is true for Mac OS.

Same issue.

Shroud, the plugin used for the capes in Pillars of Eternity IS compatible with OS X, so technically it should be possible to fix the visibility of the cloaks and capes on OS X, right?

Plug in? where do we get it?

Yeah I just thought they were not being rendered. I have avoided screenshots and other hype right up until the game came out, so I was not sure.

Bump!

Exact same problem for me.

Pretty poor form from Obsidian so far... no replies addressing the issue for Mac users and no word on fixes.

Hope they can resolve this soon.

Yes, waiting for a comment from de dev. Anyway playing the game and having tons of fun.

Same problem. I bet this isnt a priority issue for them and I can understand it but I want my cloaks to be shown!

Yeah I got the same issue, I thought it was just me but looks like it affects everyone. I wonder why though...

Anyone found a workaround considering that the plugin used for capes/cloaks is supported on Mac unlike on Linux?

Cheers :)

They mentioned for Linux it's because Linux doesn't support shroud. But Mac OS does. And devs haven't said a thing about the issue on Mac yet. Still checking the forums regularly for an update on this issue.
