Sabres have a "Damage over time" effect, and I have a few questions about it.

1 Does the Damage over Time effect stack (can it be applied repeatedly) or will each application be overwritten?

2 Can the Damage over Time effect be triggered by the Barbarian "carnage" skill?

3 How much damage does the effect do, how long does the effect last?

Thanks.

They don't have a damage over time any more, just more base damage.

Don't trust anything that manual says, as it is not up to date and has quite lot wrong information in it.

This is where I repeat my sadness that they did lose damage over time. It didn't work particularly well, but I keep thinking that if they'd just tuned the numbers, it could've worked, and I feel that it was an interesting mechanic. Just added damage is a bit meh.

IMO DoT works better as an enchantment. I know, simulationism and all, but I couldn't help thinking that it doesn't really make sense. Unlike most of the weapons specials like stilettos or estocs canceling DR or flails doing... whatever it is flails do at this point, I'm confused.

I have a project. It's a tabletop RPG. It's free. It's a work in progress. Find it here: www.brikoleur.com

Flails.. Interrupt...? I think. Flails are the two-handed morningstars, right? If so, Interrupt.

As for Sabre DoT, I think the logic is that Sabres slash gashing wounds, so the DoT is essentially a Bleed effect by any other name.

A flail is a farm implement for threshing grain. It consists of a number of chains attached to a handle. Weaponized, it may have hooks or weights attached to the end of each chain. You wouldn't normally use it two handed.

Everyone knows Science Fiction is really cool. You know what PoE really needs? Spaceships! There isn't any game that wouldn't be improved by a space combat minigame. Adding one to PoE would send sales skyrocketing, and ensure the game was remembered for all time!!!!!

Yeah, actually, I was thinking of Morning stars. Apparently, Morning stars are the large two handed morning stars.

Flails have a Graze-to-Hit ratio. I wonder how it interacts with the One-Handed Weapon Wielder Talent.

Yes, but not in PoE. I think my confusion stemmed from games where Flails were two-handed.

Too bad :( The Sabre was a perfect weapon for rangers with their +damage on bleeding targets with their pets... I was planning on making that build...
