Triga
So has any one heard if there are plans for expansions or Pillars 2? I know the game is not even released yet but it would be a shame not to continue the franchise like all the Baldurs gate, Incewind Dale games and Neverwinter games did. Any one have any thoughts on this?

Any one have any thoughts on this? One of the Kickstarter tiers included the first expansion, so that is definity happening - the devs have also confirmed it many times during development that there will be one. There are as of yet no official confirmation whether there will be a sequal, but the devs are hoping that it will happen. Kordanor
There has been a confirmation about an expansion which will have a similar amount of content like the Baldurs Gate Expansion "Tales of the Sword Coast". http://www.pcgamer.com/pillars-of-eternity-expansion-in-the-works/

axan22
Yes it has pretty much been confirmed that it is going to be a side story and not a continuation of the main game, like many have said its similar to "tales of the sword coast" with around the same amount of content as "Trials of the Luremaster" which was bigger than "heart of winter". CottonWolf
According to the recent codex interview, there might actually be plans for two expansions, but if that's the case, we have no info at all about the second one.

AstroCat
Is the expansion going to be after the story line or during it? Would it be better to wait and play the game with the expansion, or can you play the game now, "win" it and then continue in the expansion when it comes out? Thanks. Usually, for Totsc type of expansions, you can load your finalsave; ie you can play before the expansion is released, you should still be able to play through it with your character that completed the game.
