Apologies in advance to moderators if this ends up as a duplicate - the last post I did either didn't get submitted properly (my bad) or has yet to be approved (it's been a couple days so I thought I'd give it a shot :) ).

Hi everyone! I'm Kat, known as theacefes on the Pillars of Eternity forums. I've been present in the gaming community for quite some time, though I'm probably most known for hosting The Gibberlings 3 modding community. I'm also a composer on the side and have done a lot of compositions for games and mods. If you've ever played a Baldur's Gate mod, chances are you've heard my work.

I'm posting to let my fellow gamers and fans of the soundtrack music genre know that I am beginning a new and exciting project. Back in 2009, I recorded an album of instrumental soundtrack music called Symphonic I and distributed it on iTunes and a couple other sites. It got pretty good reviews but I took it down for revisions.

Now I'm ready for something new and more challenging. I've started the Symphonic II project which will hopefully prove to be the best project I've taken on yet. In order to make it the best quality of any piece/album I've done, I've started a Kickstarter to raise money for an upgraded recording studio, equipment, and distribution.

I do hope you'll take a look at it. I'm very excited to share it with everyone and if anything perhaps you'll discover a new song that you like! :)

Cheers and thank you for your time!

I want to take this opportunity to thank you for hosting The Gibberlings 3. I've used it a few times through the years to better my IE gaming experience. I expect to be using it again at some point after playing PoE as I've got the growing urge to fire up Baldur's Gate again (I'd do it now if PoE wasn't on the immediate horizon).

Also. I had no clue the host of the G3 a composer. Great stuff. Love the music.

Thanks for the kind words! And yeah, it's great how active the modding community is after all these years. :) Can't wait for PoE either.

Throwback....Tuesday? Eh, I'll stop trying to be funny. :D

Anyone that played Classic Adventures, Sarah, Ninde, or the Innershade mod for BG2 might recognize these.

Thought I'd post it here for anyone with nostalgia for old video game art:

https://www.kickstar...f-an-art-junkie

The goal of this campaign is to raise $9,000 for a print run of my super cool, unique book "Classic Game Covers, Confessions of An Art Junkie" and get it to people who will enjoy it!

My name name is Mike Winterbauer and I have been a working artist for thirty years. I am most notably known for my work in illustration having done a string of classic computer game covers in the 1980's and 90's. You may have seen some of the covers I painted which included Might and Magic Clouds of Xeen and Darkside of Xeen and interior maps, Wing Commander, Solstice, WolfChild and Power Blade to name a few.

Welcome theacefes to the way off topic section, the place of sometimes awkward political debate. :)

Tuesday they just released DS9 on disc, first time since the original release in 2003.

At this rate, I will have backed 'What We Left Behind', Deadfire, and DS9 on DVD, but I won't be able to back the electricity bill to watch them all. Priorities.

Yeah, I'm glad the dinner with Kira was already gone when I went to back it or I'd be in some serious trouble
