I see. It's true that the trade-off changed in a way that armor is penalized, but do you think the trade-off in the current patch is fine?

I don't think so and feel like they still have to balance this at some point, so they might as well slow down the game before they fine tune this before they fine tune it once before and once after.

Again, I feel like this should depend more on the neccessity of armor, that is AI and damage of enemies.

While 1.4 slow down is probably a bit much, I'm quite glad they've done this. It makes the simulationist in me smile.

Thank you for this Rumsteak, i hope it gets pinned. Won't miss a post by any dev here anymore.
btw, i think mages should wear robes not armour. Robes which reduce casting time, give them defense bonus and anything that would enhance their caster role.

I'm just saying it makes the system more extreme than before. I don't think that they think there is a problem with it. I don't think it's right but I haven't thought of a way to improve it.

Don't have anything against robes, really, but I do hate the extent to which Wizards tend to get restricted to robes. There are other types of non-heavy armor (even cloth stuff) than just "robes." A lot of it often looks much more interesting, too.

Yes! Much better than wandering around naked. We could have light clothes (robes, cloth and other as Lephys mentioned) that would not slow mages down and either give no bonuses or some bonuses. I like that.

i think Sensuki can see files/data for PoE, would be nice if he could check if casters would have them so we could put them on in the game. Not that i'm against watching female casters in bikinis :)

Awesome work! Hopefully this will mean it will be easier for me to keep tabs on what the developers are saying ^.^ Got it bookmarked/RSS'ed (if that is even a term...)

I kinda miss the D&D thing of what you're wearing affecting interactions and such. Not necessarily (but not excluding) disguises. But... just, "Oh, you're wearing fine clothes with gold embroidery? People will treat you differently because they think you're a noble. You're dressed like a scholar? People will assume you're a scholar," etc. Not every single person reacting to it in a significant fashion, necessarily.

Bumping this thread one last time to make sure nobody has missed it.

Also, I fixed a rare bug where developer posts would sometimes appear hours later instead of 5 minutes later.

It's so neat that it deserves a bump.

Also, why can't some kind mod sticky this Dev Tracker on this very forum?

Please, dearest moderators? 8)
