Pipyui Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 NoSleepForTheWatcher.com I was just refreshing and clicking that little blue gem at the bottom of the backer portal. Thoughts?
irinotecan Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 Most likely this is where the offical Pillars of Eternity website will reside (and any successor games), and eternity.obsidian.net will remain the "backer's" website.
The Mist Devil Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 <!-- This world wants to drag us down, it does. It made you a Watcher. No one asks for that. And the weight, that guilt they want to hang around my neck, you don't have to carry it one more step. You think they won't let you rest, but it's not up to them. It never was. --> <!-- E T E R N I T Y --> So, yep, good guess. « Celui qui est consumé par la flamme de la justice ne craint ni le ciel, ni l’enfer ; il n’est qu’une arme attendant le jour de sa mort ». (Paul Murphy, l'Enclave, 1971)
Wolfenbarg Posted December 11, 2013 Posted December 11, 2013 When I saw that in the teaser, I thought that might have been a cute little jab at the people who stayed up really late for said update. Then I realized that the line was also in the original Kickstarter pitch and saw that site a while after. Now I feel like a fool.
talharbash Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Sounds like promo for the expansion pack.
Lephys Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 Since all we know of the main story is that you "witness" (aka "see") a supernatural event, I had a suspicion that "the Watcher" might refer to your main character. That's pretty cool that there was a little nugget in the source code. Kudos on digging that out! ^_^ Should we not start with some Ipelagos, or at least some Greater Ipelagos, before tackling a named Arch Ipelago? 6_u
Wolfenbarg Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 (edited) Sounds like promo for the expansion pack. No, it's always been there. Skip to the end of the Kickstarter video, it's there too. I love that bit the source code. It feels very... well, Obsidian. Who wrote it? Was it Josh? Edited December 12, 2013 by Wolfenbarg
Karkarov Posted December 12, 2013 Posted December 12, 2013 (edited) Nice a little teaser page too, glad to see we got such a meaty update at long last. Now if only I could see my own forum badges and get my pledge update to take ;p. Edited December 12, 2013 by Karkarov
