Assuming the men both knew each other's code, they find that one of them moves faster. proving time exists. if you are paranoid i could have them each record their respective ids all the way through. but i think you get the point.

 

maybe you already knew about this. that's fine. but THEY DID NOT!

Actually nope. They don't take turns. no such thing as sharing steps. this does prove time is a matter. this absolutely does suggest time. however small.

I think I need to work some more on this proof of concept. It's not entirely clear why they should conclude time exists. yeah. i should probably prove to each other they aren't alone etc first.
