Pidesco
With the game being done with 2D backgrounds, I was wondering how the game will support multiple resolutions. Will it work like the IE games or will there be differently sized versions of the backgrounds to accommodate for higher resolutions? An this reminds me of another important issue; will there be fog of war? 1 "My hovercraft is full of eels!" - Hungarian touristI am Dan Quayle of the Romans.I want to tattoo a map of the Netherlands on my nether lands.Heja Sverige!!Everyone should cuffawkle more. The wrench is your friend. Badprenup
Ooh another good question, what about multiple monitor support? It would be nice if someone with a dual monitor setup (or triple monitor, like myself) could view the game in one monitor and have immediate and instant access to the inventory and character stats in the other window. Huli22
Well hopefully the engine will support 1920x1080 as a baseline. Wondering more if multi-monitor setups will be in this as well....
Pidesco
Obviously, 1080p will be in. But how will the game look and play in a 16:10 monitor? Or in a 1440p monitor. Entropious
Hmm...as long as nobody tries to make a console version, I think resolutions are not a big problem.
Jozape
With the game being done with 2D backgrounds, I was wondering how the game will support multiple resolutions. Will it work like the IE games or will there be differently sized versions of the backgrounds to accommodate for higher resolutions? They could keep everything drawn at one high resolution(for example for use at 1920x1080 or 2560x1600) and resize or supersample for lower resolutions. Doesn't do anything for when higher resolution displays come around of course. Not like the game will look bad upscaled to 7680x4320 though. Pidesco
That's what I'm hoping. but that still leaves the question of whether the game will be letter-boxed in non-16:9 monitors. teknoman2
well being a mod and all, you should have enough access to see if Steve Weatherly (one of the game engineers) is somewhere around in the forum and and send him a pm asking for details. The words freedom and liberty, are diminishing the true meaning of the abstract concept they try to explain. The true nature of freedom is such, that the human mind is unable to comprehend it, so we make a cage and name it freedom in order to give a tangible meaning to what we dont understand, just as our ancestors made gods like Thor or Zeus to explain thunder. -Teknoman2- What? You thought it was a quote from some well known wise guy from the past? Stupidity leads to willful ignorance - willful ignorance leads to hope - hope leads to sex - and that is how a new generation of fools is born! We are hardcore role players... When we go to bed with a girl, we roll a D20 to see if we hit the target and a D6 to see how much penetration damage we did. Modern democracy is: the sheep voting for which dog will be the shepherd's right hand.
