What is it about this game that just looks so... bland somewhow? Can't put my finger on it. Stealth game in steampunk setting normally sounds like something amazing to me but I just cannot get into any of the trailers for this game. The whole "man, we are ARTISTIC" inclusion of The Drunken Sailor just makes it worse somehow.

Still convinced that it can be a good game but ugh...

EDIT: The Tomb Raider trailer looks like some kind of torture porn video at times. I mean, the series always had an element of "how many horrific situations can we put this woman in?" type of deal and this certainly capitalizes on that. Is it known when the game will be set (before or after the other games)?

Hard to get a feel for the gameplay but don't have many high hopes for that.

You make it sound sexist yet that's basically how most stories are. Take the protagainst and put them in horrible situations. *shrug*

Tomb Raider trailer.

"Ahahaha noooo ehhhhhhh wahhhhhhhh nooohhh uhhhhhh"

I think I can confidently say I can skip this game for good

Still looks like a crappy interactive movie.

It's a reboot of the series.

Didn't LA whine that KotOR 2 was too dark for the regular SW feel?

Probably the same guys who were in denial about Han shooting first.

Press X to view the next cinematic sequence.

Press Y to kill enemy. Press XY to jump over that chasm.

That's what the trailer said, basically. In a subtle way.

Yup, watch the game play itself and enjoy the periodic QTE's. I think I'll stick to the original TR and the anniversary edition.

To be fair, you usually always show the cinematic stuff for trailers. But even those little tiny gameplay snippets didn't show much promise. It's still lots of stupid jumping and climbing, with some "Oh Lara help please these dirty men want to kill me" juvenile American angst culture bull**** that will ultimately ruin this game.

Am gonna buy when first Steam 75% discount comes along.

I read somewhere that LA changed policy (again). Old George Lucas wants to retreat from his businesses (or say he says) for real now, they fired the former Director responsible for the two TFU games, and they got lots of new and fresh talent now. So I think LA tries to repair it's image, hopefully.

Either way, 1313 shows lot's of promise. Dirty world, not too much Force Powarz nonsense, and hopefully no Daddy issues story or some other crap. I want this to be barebone, gritty (yes, I said it) and intense. I want the old Star Wars back.

Wait, unless I mistake your meaning, when was the 'old' Star Wars (games or othertwise) barebone, gritty and intense, exactly ?

Why has elegance found so little following? Elegance has the disadvantage that hard work is needed to achieve it and a good education to appreciate it. - Edsger Wybe Dijkstra

What?

Like, what? What old Star Wars? Did Star Wars stuff exist before the original Trilogy?

Because Star Wars was at least partly about daddy issues and the force. And there wasn't too much "dirty" world around either. Seriously, what?

Stop running around like a headless chicken. Can't I just be allowed excited a little bit about a new Star Wars game without everyone freaking out? No?

It means non baby-stuff Star Wars, like the old Trilogy.

Totally, the wording was just weird as this all belonged to Star Wars from the beginning.

I know what you mean though and I agree (somewhat)
