rc deaths agent Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 I want to know about co-op!!! This too...would love to hear some details on this. I'm sure we will soon.
Tigranes Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 It's tuned to be REALLY hard. *pumps fist* Let's Play: Icewind Dale Ironman (Complete) Let's Play: Icewind Dale II Ironman (Complete) Let's Play: Divinity II (Complete) Let's Play: Baldur's Gate Trilogy Ironman - BG1 (Complete) Let's Play: Baldur's Gate Trilogy Ironman - BG2 (In Progress)
Pidesco Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 Was it a newer build? Also could they play it now on higher difficulty? Yes, and I believe they could choose higher than standard difficulty, though the build they played was just inherently harder than the build you guys have seen publicly. I didn't really hear any complaints that the game was too easy One guy tried to play on hardcore mode and got wrecked. That sounds good. Though, is the mode actually titled "Hardcore?" I didn't mind it on New Vegas where it meant additional game mechanics but if you use it here this could sound a little too "elitist". It's hardcore. It's tuned to be REALLY hard. It kind of is elitist Any chance of including a Hell or Hell mode like in Devil May Cry 4? BuckGB Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 How about this for some pre-coverage tantalization? Administrator of GameBanshee Coverage for many RPGs, including Star Wars: KotOR II, Neverwinter Nights 2, and Alpha Protocol
WorstUsernameEver Posted February 19, 2011 Author Posted February 19, 2011 That sounds.. interesting. Thanks for posting that Buck!

C2B Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 Can't..... wait. You are a horrible teasing man Buck.
C2B Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 It's hardcore. It's tuned to be REALLY hard. It kind of is elitist There is no casual mode though? Because in the end. This could generate more negativity than you think and sounds pretty much like the usual casual/hardcore debate which boils down to "I'm hardcore therefore I am more worth as a player than you. Casuals are dumb". I'm not accusing you of anything. Of course. But I really would have rather seen if you went with something more original named to avoid comparisons.
Starwars Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 Shhh shhh shhh... *leads C2B away to have a quiet talk* Listen to my home-made recordings (some original songs, some not): http://www.youtube.c...low=grid&view=0

Labadal Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 Can't wait to see those interviews. It seems we can expect many projects from Obsidian in the future. Makes me a happy little boy.

Makes me a happy little boy. On one hand it does, on the other hand.. makes me a little scared about whether they can take on them or not. Obsidz are not Bethsoft or Bioware. Their manpower is limited.

Labadal Posted February 19, 2011 Posted February 19, 2011 (edited) I think 3 projects sounds reasonable. Isn't Obsidian's goal to have 3 projects(big or small) going on at all times? Or maybe I misunderstood(wich is very likely). With that said, I can understand your worries(WUE). Too many projects could be a problem, but let us hope for the best. They managed to work on Alpha Protocol, Fallout: New Vegas (and Dungeon Siege III) at the same time. Maybe we are seeing a new Obsidian that can handle several projects. HoonDing Posted February 21, 2011 Posted February 21, 2011 I'm thinking a lot of players are going to keep Anjali in her fiery form. The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.
C2B Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 (edited) First Preview http://www.gamefront.com/dungeon-siege-iii-hands-on-preview/ It's positive. Their biggest beef is that the voice-actor performance ranges from excellent to mediocre?. Edit: Apparently Anjali and Lucas have the same starting point? So, that was probably taken out. Labadal Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 So they did get to play as Anjali. That preview sounds very positive!
Starwars Posted February 22, 2011 Posted February 22, 2011 That's an excellent preview, going through all the factual stuff first and then laying down his own feelings at the end. Good job, whoever wrote that! Listen to my home-made recordings (some original songs, some not): http://www.youtube.c...low=grid&view=0

Good job, whoever wrote that! Phil Hornshaw. He's currently working on a book if you're interested. http://hornshaw.com/ His blog is a very interesting read by the way. WorstUsernameEver Posted February 22, 2011 Author Posted February 22, 2011 That previews is very good. Assuming it's based on the new build, it seems they're still showing the beginning of the game. It's also the only preview I've read that was clear about how the combat system and character progression systems work, so cheers to the writer.
