I just lost 26 hours of my life playing New Vegas, just to have my saves get corrupted...

Like already said, consoles are like PC nowadays and with OS and hardware failures (chipset, board,...), one can't expect to have bug free softwares on consoles.

The only thing that consoles avoid are hardware incompatibilities and the advantage of console is that testing a soft on a console is closer to all other consoles of the same type.

I don't really understand though why people still use Xbox360 and PS3 which are really outdated and not cheaper than a PC of the same power. But it's everyone's choice after all.

Because all the game producers and developers are now making their games for consoles whilst the PC normally only get's the port? Much bigger selection (heck, my PS3 has a bigger selection than the PC and it's supposed to be the loser in this generation of consoles), and many more games you can find on the consoles not available on PC means that the gaming chioces are much better for consoles these days. It's only the rare PC game (SCII) that is both worth time and is any good that is found on the PC and not the console. The biggest draw for PC games now are the indie games...and there's an equal draw for them via the Iphone and Cell phones these days too.

It used to be the PC market was big enough and strong enough that the ports went the other way (PC games were PORTED to consoles)...now days though...and actually for the past few years...it's always been console games getting ported to the PC instead. (there was the rare exception with the C&C games though, and some would contest whether Dragon Age was a console Port or a PC port...but overall normally it's the PC getting the console port...and it's obvious).

"It is okay for PC games to be buggy because developing a game for PC is developing for dozens of different systems. Developing for a console is developing for a single system. That's why console games have always been less buggy than PC games.

"

No. No, it's not 'okay'. Espicially since many bugs on either console or PC have nothing to do with the system but the game itself.

"Good luck patching that."

Don't be ignorant. Console games get patches. Again, consoles are basically full fledge computers now.

"they weren't always like ths. consoles didn't have a harddrive, y'know. there was no sucj thing as a "patch". if the game was buggy - tough luck, play something else."

My Fallout: New Vegas save files are corrupt and crash my Xbox 360.
Yeah, but I rented it at Blockbuster, and it's due back tomorrow.
