And, not really, but I know I'm going to buy it since I suddenly find myself in a position with nothing better to do (ie. single, not over her): Dragon Age: Awakening. :verymad:

You're a cheery wee bugger, Nep. Have I ever said that?

Thanks, I already got the Vodka and Apocalypse Now recommendation, along with Beer and Bond movies and Absinthe and Gabriel. :p

Vodka/Absinthe and DAA might be a surprisingly good combo.

Just be sure, that before you start to play to cover the keyboard and monitor with some kind of transparent plastic thingie... you never know whenever this comes handy... especialy if you change the combo into Vodka+Absinthe and DAA :p

Vodka is gin for people with no taste.

Also, on topic,

Alpha Protocol, F:NV, Civ 5, Portal 2. I suppose ME3 could go on there, too, but that's too far off for me to put much energy into anticipating. I'm in 'wait and see' mode on the DA:O expansion (and the likely sequel-to-come).

Following closely:

Alpha Protocol

Fallout: New Vegas

Alan Wake (if it comes to PC)

Red Dead Redemption (if it comes to PC)

Rage

Deus Ex 3 (please be good!)

Just Cause 2 (have it on pre-order)

Mafia 2

Eschalon: Book 2

Hunted: Demon's Forge

Arcania: A Gothic Tale (Gothic 4)

And guess which dark horse has sailed up as an unexpected hope? Two Worlds 2! Imagine that.

On my distant radar:

Max Payne 3

Precursors (if it's ever released in English)

Dead Rising 2

Crysis 2

Dead Island (might be a Dead Project..)

Feels like I've forgotten a bunch of stuff.

It does look very cool indeed. I wonder if there will be a decent PC port at some point.

I wouldn't be surprised if it came to PC 6 months to a year after the console releases like GTA IV did.

Speaking of Red Dead Redemption... a new video is out.

Oh... mai... gawd... just when I think my hype meter couldn't get any higher...

Holy crap. No game ever actually is, but if this game is close to being as good as it looks, I may have to finally buy a PS3.

I took this job because I thought you were just a legend. Just a story. A story to scare little kids. But you're the real deal. The demon who dares to challenge God.

So what the hell do you want? Don't seem to me like you're out to make this stinkin' world a better place. Why you gotta kill all my men? Why you gotta kill me?

Nothing personal. It's just revenge.

Thats it for now really. Jagged Alliance 3 is changing hands (again) and Disciples III looks like it is going all Ooh! Shiny! 3D! Immersion! etc. at the expense of the game mechanics (and by extension, the fun).

The previews looks interesting. I think The Witcher 2 just joined my list (increasing it by 100%) :)

I bought both the regular and enhanced versions of the Witcher, so I think it's safe to say I liked the game.

I'm a little leery of streamlining though with the sequel. The trailer didn't show enough to reassure me.

I did think the change to Geralt's appearance was disappointing. He went from being a somewhat exotic, almost feral or demonic-looking dude (which I think suits him) to a more standardized square-jawed western action-hero type. Much more generic-looking.

My concern is that the entire game may be more generic as well, if that is their overall design philosphy towards W2.

Notice how I can belittle your beliefs without calling you names. It's a useful skill to have particularly where you aren't allowed to call people names. It's a mistake to get too drawn in/worked up. I mean it's not life or death, it's just two guys posting their thoughts on a message board. If it were personal or face to face all the usual restraints would be in place, and we would never have reached this place in the first place. Try to remember that.

Sargot, first of all I would like to do you a lot of bodyly harm for shocking me this much. For a moment I thought someone had resurrected Nexus. :p

Apparently the Geralt shown in the trailer is temporary, meaning that they will work to change the texture and make him more feral. They also said that they weren't happy with it TW1 face because he looked out of place with the new models and his proportions were off, and they've also redone all the other characters from TW1.

Apart from Geralt's looks I didn't see any indication of streamlining in the trailers and preview, quite the contrary actually.

EDIT : The info so far has been good so yes, I can say that TW2 is one game I'm looking forward to.
