Nightshape Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 Right, because reducing the opinions and reasons of any number of members of a heterogeneous group to just ONE, always works beautifully. Great job. And here I was thinking I'd made a funny! I came up with Crate 3.0 technology. Crate 4.0 - we shall just have to wait and see.Down and out on the Solomani RimNow the Spinward Marches don't look so GRIM!
Zoraptor Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 In this case paying the minimum amount is worse than pirating as a 0.01$ donation is in actual effect a -0.39$ donation due to the transaction fees. Not that I'm defending the pirates mind you, if you're pirating indie games associated with charity then you're pretty much scum but I have seen a fair few people who appear to be really proud of having paid 1c for the bundle too and think they're awesome because they haven't pirated it.

No worries, it'll fade with time. Possibly. In this case paying the minimum amount is worse than pirating as a 0.01$ donation is in actual effect a -0.39$ donation due to the transaction fees. Malcador Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 That has to be one of the more disgusting things I've read recently. The link to their blog post about it is not working too so here's a functional one. Nah, I've heard way more disgusting things than that, amazing the depravity of some people. Anyway, not that shocking, everything gets cracked or put up for download. Funniest thing I ever saw was scene releases of demos. Why has elegance found so little following? Elegance has the disadvantage that hard work is needed to achieve it and a good education to appreciate it. - Edsger Wybe Dijkstra
Deadly_Nightshade Posted May 12, 2010 Posted May 12, 2010 Talking about cracked games, it looks like Steam lifted an .exe from pirate group for their Max Payne 2 release. "Geez. It's like we lost some sort of bet and ended up saddled with a bunch of terrible new posters on this forum." -Hurlshot
