Heavy Rain

Recommended Posts

So i read about the game today for the first time O.o, and from what i read i got very excited, finaly a game where your actions have real consequences in-game and should have different gameplay than anything else what is released today...

Will it be the new wind in the gaming industry, or will it fail like the previewer predicts...

http://arstechnica.com/gaming/news/2010/02...ned-to-fail.ars

I am willing to risk it and give the game a chance, just to show that some gamers want different stuff to play...

what about you?

PS: it's PS3 exclusive...

Negative, the whole scene felt about as natural as the Care Bears.

And after hearing about the second half of the story of Indigo Prophecy, who's to say Heavy Rain's won't be just as bad?

Also, if you want choices, play Alpha Protocol when it comes out. :p

That depends, if it will be Steam dependant :p

It will, because that's what Sega now is doing with every PC release. Unless you buy the console version...

Anyways... For those who missed out: Official homepage http://www.heavyrainps3.com/

There's also a demo coming out Feb. 11th.

First reviews are very positive.

That kid was a retard..

I don't think I would like that game, but I'm very interested in this whole "interactive films" approach some developers are taking.. when the technology gets better I think it'll be a cool genre.

Fortune favors the bald.

The question is... will there be A.I.s?

INCORRECT! That should be "will there be Crates?"!

That said, I'm gonna get lucky and have a early preview of the game next week from our sony rep. As in he'll bring in 1/2 the game and start playing through it in front of an audience.

Victor of the 5 year fan fic competition!

Kevin Butler will awesome your face off.

That's just the uncanny valley raising it's ugly head.
Too many textures, not enough polygons if you ask me. Not exactly UV, just plain fugly.

Needs more bump mapping, rite?

Having it go all pants-on-head crazy would make it extra funny with an audience.

Also you people have an unhealthy fascination with creates.

You press buttons. Or you don't. Some things happen. Or they don't. You click to walk over to a car, to open the door, to sit down, to close the door, to put on the safety belt. And then don't actually drive the damn thing.

Well yeah, "unique" is one way to put it. Farenheint was pretty "unique", too, if you know what I mean.

If by end you mean that the madness finally stopped and the main menu popped up again, then yes :aiee:

Dreamfall's "end" was an intelligent satire of video games which usually have a proper end. It was obviously an artistic choice.
