Morgoth Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Preview Guess they're out of loop or something, because they say it's coming out on October 27th. Rain makes everything better.
Oner Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 (edited) Maybe the whole "delay" thing is a clever (read: brain dead) marketing trick of SEGA. I like the preview (party because they mostly dropped the ME comparisons). Jaesun Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 http://www.sega.com/games/alpha-protocol/ SEGA still says the 6th of October? Some of my Youtube Classic Roland MT-32 Video Game Music videos | My Music | My Photography
Morgoth Posted September 27, 2009 Author Posted September 27, 2009 http://www.sega.com/games/alpha-protocol/ SEGA still says the 6th of October? Well they barely update their site so... Rain makes everything better.
Cloaker Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 http://www.sega.com/games/alpha-protocol/ SEGA still says the 6th of October? Sega says October 6th, Amazon says October 27th, Amazon.ca and Gamestop say 2010. Looks like this is a belated (and awful) preview article.
Pop Posted September 27, 2009 Posted September 27, 2009 Actually I'd say it's one of the better preview articles I've read on AP. Primarily because it mentions Mass Effect but acknowledges that AP is quite a bit different, and also that ME was not the cornucopia of RPG-dom that it's often said to be in game media. Join me, and we shall make Production Beards a reality!
Warren Bills Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 that was a pretty nice preview, longer than i expected & even better was they thought it was "rpg heavy" aka rpg enough in my book.
TheLandstander Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 I'm still clinging to the hope that the game will be released this Oct., and util the website says otherwise, my eyes are shut and my fingers are in my ears.
Bovell Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Ironically, they've just made a news story about it possibly being delayed. Guess they're were just out of the loop. Alpha Protocol Wiki
Killian Kalthorne Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 WHy won't they just give us an official release date and be done with this stupid speculation. ironcreed Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 (edited) The longer Sega chooses to remain silent, the more criticism and doubt will arise. Certainly not helping Obsidian and Alpha Protocol in the end. Edited September 28, 2009 by ironcreed
Wrath of Dagon Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 WHy won't they just give us an official release date and be done with this stupid speculation. Why did they keep saying Aliens RPG was on hold when they had really cancelled it? "Moral indignation is a standard strategy for endowing the idiot with dignity." Marshall McLuhan
Starwars Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 You know Wrath of Dagon, much as I like you and all, I can't help but wonder how you're so speculative about whether Alpha Protocol is finished or not, when at the same time you follow a game like Age of Decadence which has been in development forever and with a very small team to boot. I think it's fair to say that Alpha Protocol and Aliens were at pretty different stages in their development no? I think it's fair to say that Alpha Protocol and Aliens were at pretty different stages in their development no? Because it's very understandable why AoD has been in development for a long time (not forever), and I have a lot more faith in Vince than in corporate beancounters. Besides with AoD we're told about everything that's going on, with AP all we get is the usual marketing line. Also, I've never believed AP would sell well to tell the truth, regardless of its merits. alanschu Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 I think it's fair to say that Alpha Protocol and Aliens were at pretty different stages in their development no? I'd agree.
Enoch Posted September 28, 2009 Posted September 28, 2009 Preview gets +1 for the Our Man Flint reference.
