Pidesco
I bought an Mp3 player, today just to use at the gym, and I've been selecting good songs for working out from my library. However, I want more, more and more so I decided to do an internet search for songs to add to my list. Unfortunately, the internets is filled with ghastly, unhelpful advice which compelled me to appeal to your good and proper taste. Help a guy out. Here's a list of what I already, have, by the way. It's mostly fast and rocking with a few exceptions, which is what I'm looking for. 1. Amorphis - Against Widows (4:08) 2. Amorphis - On Rich And Poor (5:21) 3. Apocalyptica - Hall of the Mountain King (3:29) 4. Black Sabbath - War Pigs,Luke's Wall (7:58) 5. Brezhnev - She ain't horny, she's my sister (2:08) 6. Cradle Of Filth - Cruelty Brought Thee Orchids (7:18) 7. Cradle Of Filth - Lustmord And Wargasm (The Lick Of Carnivorous Winds) (7:30) 8. Eagles of Death Metal - I Want You So Hard (Boy's Bad News) (2:21) 9. Eagles of Death Metal - Don't Speak (I Came To Make A BANG!) (2:47) 10. Eagles Of Death Metal - Secret Plans (2:22) 11. Entombed - Chaos Breed (4:52) 12. Entombed - Carnal Leftovers (2:58) 13. Entombed - Out Of Hand (3:15) 14. 213374U
I mostly listen to the radio when at the gym... but it doesn't matter. I saw a video of some dude squatting 250kg with Rihanna playing on the background. Anyway, do you know of Millencolin? Edited August 6, 2009 by 213374U - When he is best, he is a little worse than a man, and when he is worst, he is little better than a beast. theslug
This is my favorite when I go to my aerobics class Have you recently been the victim of blunt force trauma or undergone electroshock therapy? Or perhaps your taste in music always been this horrible? I don't normally listen to music when I work out but on occasion I will be inspired by such musical talents (and some not-talents) as sage francis, rise against, atmosphere, the killers, john mayer, blue october, circa survive, eminem, and many more. There was a time when I questioned the ability for the schizoid to ever experience genuine happiness, at the very least for a prolonged segment of time. I am no closer to finding the answer, however, it has become apparent that contentment is certainly a realizable goal. I find these results to be adequate, if not pleasing. Unfortunately, connection is another subject entirely. When one has sufficiently examined the mind and their emotional constructs, connection can be easily imitated. More data must be gleaned and further collated before a sufficient judgment can be reached.

LadyCrimson
For a few months the only tune I listened to during aerobics was a slightly slowed down version of the Loituma song. “Things are as they are. Slowtrain
I work out to a lot of Rancid, Flogging Molly, Social Distortion, Dropkick Murphy, The Bouncing Souls. Notice how I can belittle your beliefs without calling you names. It's a useful skill to have particularly where you aren't allowed to call people names. It's a mistake to get too drawn in/worked up. I mean it's not life or death, it's just two guys posting their thoughts on a message board. If it were personal or face to face all the usual restraints would be in place, and we would never have reached this place in the first place. Try to remember that. Slowtrain
It's hard to imagine Smoke on the Water as a workout song. Maybe Highway Star or Speed King. Or Woman from Tokyo. Metal Church did a pretty awesome cover of Highway Star many years ago. Notice how I can belittle your beliefs without calling you names. GreasyDogMeat
I like to listen to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dqlQOt_eiQw while running in small circles. What, no Fatboy Slim? Right here right now. What a long strange journey its been. Can you blame the guy for wanting to rest at the end? LOL, I think they meant MILLION years ago instead of BILLION. We were kinda cute 250 Million (Er Billion according to video) years ago. Yeah, I just tried to correct a Fatboy Slim video... so sue me. Stephen Amber
For weights I recommend Ronnie James Dio. Something off Holy Diver or Last in Line. Dio holds nothing back... neither should you.
I want teh kotor 3
I have a great aversion to all physical activity, so I'm not much help here, but I imagine Koji Kondo would be good as most of his stuff is upbeat, as would Tanaka. Or maybe I'm just a fanboy. In 7th grade, I teach the students how Chuck Norris took down the Roman Empire, so it is good that you are starting early on this curriculum. R.I.P. LadyCrimson
You lot are of very little help. The only ones with any proper suggestions have been numbers and CrashGirl. I always find it hard to suggest music since tastes are so varied. Plus, I don't exercise in a gym where such distraction might be needed. I combine the exercycle with TV or go outside and am inspired by scenery instead. “Things are as they are. Darth Drabek
You can't go wrong with all that NOFX on a workout mix. Nothing like punk rock drums to get the blood flowing. I had "The Decline" on my exercise bike mix back in the day, and I'd try to match the intensity of the song. That was 18 minutes of hard work. And here's a metal gem you might want to try: Racer X - Technical Difficulties Good luck! baby, take off your beret everyone's a critic and most people are DJs

Baley
Mclusky, definitely. My Dad is bigger than your Dad, He's got eight cars and a house in Ireland - Sing it; My love is bigger than your love - Sing it; My love is bigger than your love - SING IT!! I actually sometimes sing that to myself when I go for a run without my cell phone. Future of the Left; Wrong-era Nomeansno; Against Me!; Bombs over Baghdad, Outkast; The Decline, NoFX. I kind of like running to Neutral Milk Hotel, but... yeah.
