GreasyDogMeat Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C1SQ0gbxkNI Like what I see so far.
Rosbjerg Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 Looked like they nailed it setting wise again.. the swamps of southern America would be a very cool place to explore in a post-apotalyptic world (has it even been done before?), but I have to say that I don't see anything interesting beyond that.. just the PC shooting 3 different enemies in various ways.. Boring trailer really.. Fortune favors the bald.
Jaesun Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 I think this statement summed it up nicely: They're not even pretending to stick to the Fallout setting anymore. Some of my Youtube Classic Roland MT-32 Video Game Music videos | My Music | My Photography
Deadly_Nightshade Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 First Left 4 Dead 2: Deep South and now this?! Are all games going to invaded by rednecks? "Geez. It's like we lost some sort of bet and ended up saddled with a bunch of terrible new posters on this forum." -Hurlshot
Slowtrain Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 I think this statement summed it up nicely: They're not even pretending to stick to the Fallout setting anymore. This is totally true, but this setting is the first one that really interests me. So even though it's not "Fallouty", I'm still looking forward to this more than any other FO3 related bit, including the original FO3 game. Really, I don't care if things are Fallout-y or not, as long as they are interesting. Notice how I can belittle your beliefs without calling you names. It's a useful skill to have particularly where you aren't allowed to call people names. It's a mistake to get too drawn in/worked up. If it were personal or face to face all the usual restraints would be in place, and we would never have reached this place in the first place. Try to remember that.
wesley2 Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 I don't mind the change of scenery actually. I've loved the places they have rendered so far and having the same team on totally another setting is awesome IMO.
Purkake Posted June 3, 2009 Posted June 3, 2009 I know! Maybe the secret sixth DLC pack will take you to the strange mystical world of Cyrodiil where your vault dweller will have to face evil goblins and wolves?
HoonDing Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 There better be some interesting mutant fauna & flora, like alligators & flesh-eating plants. The ending of the words is ALMSIVI.
Walsingham Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Dumbass question: where do I buy these damn things? You'd think it would be on the official website, but apparently that would be too easy. The FAQ knows all Operation and ANchorage and The Pitt are also available on disc for retail purchase. The others will be as well. Notice how I can belittle your beliefs without calling you names. Malcador Posted June 4, 2009 Posted June 4, 2009 Meh, a swamp. I'm guessing we fight cannibals and zombies. Why has elegance found so little following? Elegance has the disadvantage that hard work is needed to achieve it and a good education to appreciate it. - Edsger Wybe Dijkstra
