Purkake Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 Yay Macgyver was awesome. I really liked Quantum Leap.

LadyCrimson Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 Lee Majors as a middle aged stuntman was funny for a little while. But the theme song was the more memorable. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wwZTcGEU23A “Things are as they are. Rosbjerg Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 Not really - but it's a hilarous mix of several fantasy films (Riddick, Aliens, Troy etc) all painted over to look like the 80s series Thundercats. Fortune favors the bald.
Pidesco Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 Transformers original tv series We didnt have cable when I was a kid, so I only ever saw the film and two episodes, but I did have every issue of the comic! Even when I was a kid I didn't think that was particularly good. Thinking about it in retrospect, it's really clear it was a crappy animated show churned out to sell bad toys. As far as I can recall, there were a lot of kid shows in the 80s that were better than that. Gorth Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 Thinking about it in retrospect, it's really clear it was a crappy animated show churned out to sell bad toys. There was/is still a lot of those. About as entertaining as "infomercials" Zoids, Power Rangers, you name them. All aimed at disposable income. I did watch a lot of those old TV series on and off in my younger days, Knight Rider, Space 1999, MASH 4077, I dream of Jeannie, Blakes 7, Macgyver, The Avengers, The Persuaders plus a bunch of German stuff that is probably not known in English speaking countries. “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would surely suffice.” - Albert Einstein
Killian Kalthorne Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 First television series I ever watched: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LF2x5IKxmAQ "Your Job is not to die for your country, but set a man on fire, and take great comfort in the general hostility and unfairness of the universe."
Slowtrain Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 A-Team, Simon and SImon, and Magnum PI ftw. Notice how I can belittle your beliefs without calling you names. It's a useful skill to have particularly where you aren't allowed to call people names. It's a mistake to get too drawn in/worked up. I mean it's not life or death, it's just two guys posting their thoughts on a message board. If it were personal or face to face all the usual restraints would be in place, and we would never have reached this place in the first place. Try to remember that.

Hiro Protagonist Posted March 12, 2009 Posted March 12, 2009 I've always liked , , and that I downloaded all the episodes. After watching all the episodes recently, it wasn't as good as I remembered and now I know why they cancelled them mid season. Eighties TV shows were so cheesy.
