Dark_Raven Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 You want a ****ing donut or somethin? Yeah thought so. Gorthy. LOLZ! Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
Gorth Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 Gorthy. LOLZ! Yeah, if somebody had told me that I would end up with a tag some day, I would have said the same thing “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would surely suffice.” - Albert Einstein
Calax Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 I've found that sometimes moderators are the spammiest people around. Victor of the 5 year fan fic competition! Kevin Butler will awesome your face off.
Amentep Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 I've found that sometimes moderators are the spammiest people around. Its not like they have anything else to do between moderator moments. I cannot - yet I must. How do you calculate that? At what point on the graph do "must" and "cannot" meet? Yet I must - but I cannot! ~ Ro-Man
Gfted1 Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 So does a mod have to commit to (x) hours of board watching per day/week? "I'm your biggest fan, Ill follow you until you love me, Papa"
Walsingham Posted November 21, 2008 Author Posted November 21, 2008 So does a mod have to commit to (x) hours of board watching per day/week? Not really. At least, most of the time mods are chosen because they are antisocial enough to be on here anyways. "It wasn't lies. It was just... bull****"." -Elwood Blues tarna's dead; processing... complete. Disappointed by Universe. RIP Hades/Sand/etc. Here's hoping your next alt has a harp.
LadyCrimson Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 So does a mod have to commit to (x) hours of board watching per day/week? Not really. At least, most of the time mods are chosen because they are antisocial enough to be on here anyways. I'm still anti-social. It's my interests/habits that changed. Congrats Gorth, well deserved imo, and ... ...wait, are those celebratory cookies on your desk? What's that over there?! *steals cookie* “Things are as they are. Looking out into the universe at night, we make no comparisons between right and wrong stars, nor between well and badly arranged constellations.” – Alan Watts
Trenitay Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 Im the most antisocial person you'll ever meet. I want to be a mod. Whats wrong with the world. Hey now, my mother is huge and don't you forget it. The drunk can't even get off the couch to make herself a vodka drenched sandwich. Octopus suck.
Hydrogen Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 So does a mod have to commit to (x) hours of board watching per day/week? yes, but we can also delete our comments, so you dont' see half of our posts.
Llyranor Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 What the crap, man? Gorth's been on my case for the past few months, so now you give him *more* power? What the freak, Fio, what the freak? I should be mod. (Approved by Fio, so feel free to use it)
alanschu Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 Im the most antisocial person you'll ever meet. I want to be a mod. Whats wrong with the world. It's like getting in to see Coaxmetal in Planescape: Torment. The only way to become a mod, is to not want to become a mod.
Trenitay Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 But I do want to be one. I cant just turn off my wants. Besides I would be the best mod ever. Hey now, my mother is huge and don't you forget it. The drunk can't even get off the couch to make herself a vodka drenched sandwich. Octopus suck.

I thought they had replaced you! Victor of the 5 year fan fic competition! Kevin Butler will awesome your face off.
Dark_Raven Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 I've found that sometimes moderators are the spammiest people around. That would have been Meta. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
Llyranor Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 Yes, wasn't it funny when he made that alt account, spammed with it, then put on his moderator hat and scolded himself? It was hilarious until he went overboard and wanted to nuke the Middle-East. Obs couldn't allow a mod to post something like that, since they need the Middle-East to exist in order to base one of their locations in Alpha Protocol on it. (Approved by Fio, so feel free to use it)
Nick_i_am Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 Don't mock, that job meant everything to him. Every day he felt like he could make a difference. (Approved by Fio, so feel free to use it)
~Di Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Gorth: Congratulations or condolences, whichever you feel most appropriate! Thanks for taking on what will frequently be an otherwise thankless job. Big Green did well to choose you... then again, Big Green always does well!
kirottu Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Gorth: Congratulations or condolences, whichever you feel most appropriate! Thanks for taking on what will frequently be an otherwise thankless job. Big Green did well to choose you... then again, Big Green always does well! Not really. The whole Gabrielle/Dark Raven as a mod was a bad idea and it was even worse idea to keep it as a secret and how it played out in the end was another big screw up. Fionavar makes mistakes like everyone else. Erm, not this time... probably. This post is not to be enjoyed, discussed, or referenced on company time.
Gorth Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Fionavar makes mistakes like everyone else. Erm, not this time... probably. I hope he didn't (and I hope we all have the capacity to learn from the past). Thanks guys To honour the tradition of moderators closing threads with their own name in it “He who joyfully marches to music in rank and file has already earned my contempt. He has been given a large brain by mistake, since for him the spinal cord would surely suffice.” - Albert Einstein
