Walsingham Posted November 11, 2008 Posted November 11, 2008 I had to clean up a hog roast. Innards etc going off. Surprised to find myself throwing up. Something about the smell hit me at teh back of the throat suddenly. Am washing out the flavour with a pilsener. "It wasn't lies. Gorth Posted November 11, 2008 Author Posted November 11, 2008 I am resting after a rather large celebration of life for a friend who died very unexpectedly. Calax Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 Canceled my insurance because it was just wasting money (I could never use it because there were so many interruptions in my paying my premiums) Watched Biggest Loser:Families... interesting show, it was nice to see the two drama queens take it in the shorts Watched bleach 194 and loved how it ended. :shrugs: Victor of the 5 year fan fic competition! Kevin Butler will awesome your face off.
Walsingham Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 I cancelled a set of insurance myself. samm Posted November 12, 2008 Posted November 12, 2008 what? Gotta love this conversation! Went fiddling around with our robot today and found out it's easier to make it walk backwards... Now I really want to try and finally implement our ideas of more interesting gaits, with passive phases for some legs or first and mainly just alternating phases. I want to see it gallop, and bound, and walk carefully, leg by leg. This evening was spent trying to deal with depressions (not mine though, but still... *sigh*) and then some SQL/C#-timerecording application. Citizen of a country with a racist, hypocritical majority

Walsingham Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 Woke to discover I had slept through putting out the rubbish. The bin men had arrived early. Guest The Architect Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 Not good news on my end. My dog's back or hips are ****ed, I'm not sure, but it's because her brother jumps on her and this time he's really done some damage. Just a while back she couldn't get up off the slate to go outside and do her business without my mum and I getting her up on her feet, so obviously I'm ****in concerned about this. My parents are taking her to the vet tomorrow to get her checked up and get some anti inflammatory tablets to help her with the pain. I'm not expecting to hear good news about her injury, tho. This is ****ed.

taks Posted November 13, 2008 Posted November 13, 2008 sorry 'bout your dog, architect. i've had many pets in the course of my life and it is always a bummer when they are sick. my mother's dog had surgery this summer to repair a torn ligament in his hind leg. he's been a tripod for a while now but supposedly he's beginning to use it again. i guess i'll see when i'm home for turkey day. my only current pet is the most psychotic cat on the planet. he's probably going to live for another decade just to drive me nuts. though i love him, i know deep down that he is absolutely evil. bleeding from various wounds resulting from his penchant to play with his claws out is a common occurrence in our home. taks comrade taks... just because.

This is ****ed. This truely sucks. Hopefully a few weeks on Rymadril and she will be fine. One of mine just turned 13. It has done wonders for his arthritis. I went on a Riverboat casino last night with some friends from work. I won almost $600 playing Blackjack. I decided I'm going to just spend it on something foolish. Haven't decided what yet. Guest The Architect Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 Thanks for the support guys. She's 9 years old, Shryke. You asked me this before, but you know, all that alcohol you drink would be killing your brain cells and memory so I didn't expect you to remember. Anyway, it's good news! It's arthritis and luckily not anything worse. She has to be injected once a week over the next month, given tablets and over time if she improves and she should do, she'll need less and less injections, so thank **** for that.

Walsingham Posted November 14, 2008 Posted November 14, 2008 There is something about dogs which makes their suffering more painful to witness.
