mkreku Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 Somewhat in order: blah blah Risen Woohoo! Swedes, go to: Spel2, for the latest game reviews in swedish!
Purkake Posted November 23, 2009 Posted November 23, 2009 Hm. Maybe not as obvious as you might think then, eh? Anyway -- I see you rate VtM: Bloodlines pretty high. I assume you play with the unofficial patch? I haven't followed the project in a while, but noticed they recently released v6.5. How much does it alter/improve the game these days? It's been some time since I played that game, and for a while now, I've been tempted to give it another go. It fixes pretty much everything and adds some other sweet stuff. So all in all, it's pretty sweet.

Killian Kalthorne Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 Let see here... Dragon Age Fallout 3 Mass Effect Fallout 1 Planescape Torment Fallout 2 Baldur's Gate 1 Neverwinter Nights 2 Baldur's Gate 2 Jade Empire The next best ten... Ultima 4 Bloodlines Icewind Dale 2 KoTOR 2 Icewind Dale Oblivion Crysis Ultima 7 KotOR 1 Wing Commander 3 This is also with all the assorted expansions and DLCs being included. Of the old 8 bit Nintendo there was only one game I could stand playing and I loved it... BATTLETOADS! "Your Job is not to die for your country, but set a man on fire, and take great comfort in the general hostility and unfairness of the universe."
Nightshape Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 Dead Rising** You do realise that Dead Rising is a shining example of a *broken* game. Killing zombies is awesome, but everything else is so damn painful. A good second to second mechinic doesn't change the fact that everything else about it is poo. I came up with Crate 3.0 technology. Crate 4.0 - we shall just have to wait and see.Down and out on the Solomani RimNow the Spinward Marches don't look so GRIM!
Hurlshort Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 These are personal top ten lists, Hell Kitty probably has a great reason for putting those games in there, and questioning the quality of those titles is a moot point.
machinin Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 my top 10 consists mostly of games i played around 10 years ago. and with all the things that happened in my life still after 10 years still replay on a regular basis. after a couple of years without a pc i felt the itch again. i replayed these games in the last 4 months: system shock 2 (looks and works awesome with the new mods) deus ex ( last time i played it for the first time i saved my brother). baldur's gate 1 (just finished it for the first time with easytutu and a handfull of other mods recommended on the easytutu homepage, i liked the banter. but my high point was the level design on durlag's tower, so much details in those handmade backgrounds) starcraft with the broodwar expansion(of all the games listed the game i've played most. i'm really frustrated about this game at the moment because i can't find a map i used to love playing on. a 256x256 map with the jungle tileset, non-symmetrical. a normal land map with 3 "island" expansions) kotor i like scifi. and i like swords. replayed it a month ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. icewind dale 1 with expansions lovely music, lovely graphics. not much more to say. planescape torment this game is the reason i check out this website now and then these days. whats to say, great dialogue, lovely graphics. replayed it with a widescreen mod and i must say it looked awesome on my 22 inch widescreen monitor. half life with expansionswho doesn't know gordon freeman? can't wait for black mesa! pod(planet of death)futuristic racegame that came out in 1998. you had to win to buy yourself a ticket out of a dying moon of jupiter! mods and enhancement patches keep this game alive even on windows 7 64 bit. long live the internet. baldur's gate 2no explanation needed. never played fallout 1/2 cause of the adult content i heard about them. maybe there's a mod which blocks it
Pidesco Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 never played fallout 1/2 cause of the adult content i heard about them. maybe there's a mod which blocks it What's wrong with the adult content? Killian Kalthorne Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 Maybe he isn't an adult? "Your Job is not to die for your country, but set a man on fire, and take great comfort in the general hostility and unfairness of the universe."
Nightshape Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 These are personal top ten lists, Hell Kitty probably has a great reason for putting those games in there, and questioning the quality of those titles is a moot point. It's totally down to Hell Kitty to put what he wants on his top 10 list, sure, I won't argue... It's his choice. I'm trying to figure out WHY, what is it he likes so much that despite it's broken design he still percieves it as worthy of position in his top ten. It doesn't matter really, but I spent a long time playing dead rising, it's a bad game with some good points. I came up with Crate 3.0 technology. Crate 4.0 - we shall just have to wait and see.Down and out on the Solomani RimNow the Spinward Marches don't look so GRIM!
Pidesco Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 Maybe he isn't an adult? So he played all those games when he was 7? "My hovercraft is full of eels!" - Hungarian tourist I am Dan Quayle of the Romans. I want to tattoo a map of the Netherlands on my nether lands. Heja Sverige!! Everyone should cuffawkle more. The wrench is your friend.
Killian Kalthorne Posted December 27, 2009 Posted December 27, 2009 If those games were available when I was 7 I would have played them. "Your Job is not to die for your country, but set a man on fire, and take great comfort in the general hostility and unfairness of the universe."
Raithe Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 Hm, looking back over the years.. let me contemplate the ways.. Planescape Torment Deus Ex For the first two, no explanation needed NOLF 1 / 2 humour and story in such a great combination. KotOR 1 /2 both had good points and bad points, which makes it hard to choose between... Fallout 1 / 2 although I think 2 might just pip 1.. Civilization - the original , for that first time you sat down...and lost the next 24 hours to conquering the world.. Hitman Blood Money - the whole series was just so... coldly enjoyable, and the last one tidied up all the problems of first few. Alpha Centauri - It's just so damned addictive. Privateer - my introduction to serious space trade / mission / fight.. Wing Commander III / IV - well, hell, all the wing commanders fed my space opera geek but damn it, they had some fun. "Cuius testiculos habeas, habeas cardia et cerebellum."
Mikhailian Posted December 28, 2009 Posted December 28, 2009 doodle doodle doodally doo... Fallout 1 Fallout 2 Xcom Shining Force 1 Shining Force 2 Shadowrun (genesis) Zombies Ate my Neighbors Star Control 2 Raiden Fighters 2: Operation Hell Dive (omg, I coulda gone to college on the money I blew at the arcade) Dawn of War: dark crusade runners up: Smash T.V. Sonic CD Super Stardust HD Heavy Barrel Streets of rage 2 and 3 But for all of us, there will come a point where it does matter, and it's gonna be like having a miniature suit-head shoving sticks up your butt all the time. - Tigranes
