I just finished helping to clear out several driveways on our street. We were hit pretty hard with some major snowfall last night. Over the past 36 hours we've received a good 1.5-2 feet of snow with most of it coming in the past 12 hours. As a bonus, uni is closed today so no test for me! :D

Yeah, we got a buttload too. Last night when I got home from work the plow guy hadnt hit my driveway yet so in my infinite wisdom I decided all I needed to do was get the car up to ramming speed to be able to get into my garage. That didnt work out so good for me. Made it about half way up before I lost all traction. So, I get out and start shoveling and lo and behold who rolls up, the plow guy. He cranks down his window says, "If you move your car Ill do your driveway." After staring dumbfounded for a few seconds I politely let him know thats exactly what I was trying to do what with the shovel in my hands. To top it all off, the poor single lady next door got stuck too. So I go over to help her out and Im pushing and shes spinning the wheels only to find out she still had the f-ing parking brake on. Oh we laughed and laughed.

As polluted as it is, I love New Jersey...And it's climate. We get enough snow in the winter so that we get sick of it by Spring, and enough hot weather in the Summer that we're sick of it by Fall. Best of both worlds I guess.

Nevada is kind of like that. It gets colder, and dryer, and windier than all hell in the winter and you are like oh my sweet mother jesus I want summer to come. Then it's like a sweltering dry as pork chops 120 and you want to kill yourself when you are trying to sleep and your like gawd I wish it was winter. And the cycle begins a new. Though the end of summer/begining of spring are freakin awesome, especially the mid 80 degrees nights and you just want to go out on the town and get an 8 ball and a few escorts. amrite walsh,!?!?! you knwo what im talking about, I know you man. You got that coal lung and all but i mean nothing a hooker and a shot of the pen won't clear up.

There was a time when I questioned the ability for the schizoid to ever experience genuine happiness, at the very least for a prolonged segment of time. I am no closer to finding the answer, however, it has become apparent that contentment is certainly a realizable goal. I find these results to be adequate, if not pleasing. Unfortunately, connection is another subject entirely. When one has sufficiently examined the mind and their emotional constructs, connection can be easily imitated. More data must be gleaned and further collated before a sufficient judgment can be reached.

I got back from Hong Kong at 0815 today. I slept for about 5 hours at home today and now I've gotten around to the Internets again. I'm feeling the jetlag at the moment, which is expected.

The trip could've been better than it turned out to be since me, my brother and my Mum got sick with the flu, so it limited what we could do mainly during the second half of the trip. I know you get colds from other people who

Glad you're back Architect. Would have been cool if you took pictures of the city and it's inhabitants as well. But pandas will suffice. :)

I did a bunch of google searches trying to find the name of a Science-Fiction (perhaps Fantasy as well) novel (or was it a trilogy) I read back in middle school. I remember very vague concepts from it such as featuring space ships with centrifugal gravity and that they had to leave earth because it turned out time didn't work in space like they thought and the sun died. The worst part is I know there was a trilogy that took place on a desert-like planet (not Dune, don't mention it) that I read and I don't know if it's the same book.

Sadly, no such luck.

Edit: I do this like once a month and it ends up bothering me all day long. I think I'll look at Amazon sci-fi book lists and see if anything looks familiar.

I'm a little bit giddy from all the medicines I'm taking, but for some reason I have an image of Sluggo racing through the streets on a dogsleigh being pulled by hookers in high heels, trailing a cinder-shot cloud of cigarette ash.

Last night I went out and bought myself a 42 inch LCD tv. Granted, since I can't get HD programming where I live tv shows are a bit grainy, but manoman sweet motha of jebus does the 360 look good on it.

Today I'm bundling up. It's only minus 28, which is somewhat bearable, but the wind chill adds up to a nasty minus 45.

Whoa, that's one winter... it was much too warm here for freezing or snow all the time since december, but too cool to enjoy it as early spring.

I've been going nuts with wikipedia today. I 've been learning about everything from scabies to Haitian politics and gummi bears. But learning in a very haphazard way. It's rather like being a child at a party with a lot of drunk grown ups. They keep telling you things, but in such a way that you are suspicious.

I'm actually looking forward to starting TAFE again tomorrow. I've regained my desire to learn and work, and I think this time it won't be a temporary phase.

I've been watching loads of programs on the BBC's free archive. But the best has to be Top Gear series 10, episode 3. It has the Rolling Stones, and Jeremy Clarkson driving a Peel P50 around the INSIDE of buildings like a mutated dwarvish Italian Job.

Obviously you'd be more legal and better off if you watched it on the iplayer, but since it's free anyway, here's
