Volourn Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 L0L, I like it; but not that much. Ha. You have a gambling addiction. Your character better seek ME's version of Gambler's Annonymous. Heh. Still, that's not bad for an hour or so of gaming. DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.

Musopticon? Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 (edited) I landed on Presrop, found a merc party that I obliterated with the mass loader cannon. Then I spent ages riding up mountains and down valleys and messing with the thrusters of Mako, having a hell of a time. Indeed, the driving felt like a mix between Battlezone and Halo, having the former's scope and the latters great control. Then I arrived on an arid plateau in the middle of nowhere. *rumble* "Hey pal, what's with the noise?" "...you'll see in a bit" "Wreaaarrrrr!" "****!" *tentacle rape* Edited November 26, 2007 by Musopticon? kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. I had to fight against blood thirsty wolves and rabid penguins to get my food. Musopticon? Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 (edited) Yes. Did I mention that this is the first nigh-awesome game from Bio since Throne of Bhaal? It's also very difficult at parts. Or I suck at choosing party members... Edited November 26, 2007 by Musopticon? kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. Volourn Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 I know what Muso means. That creature is annoying. I had to be tricky to beat it. Had to find a hill and a place where it's spit attack couldn't hit me but it wouldn't dive back down under the ground. It also loves to flip the mako. Urgh. The Thresher Maw most definitely lives up it's name. Mako is fun; but the ride can be annoying when trying to go up and down and around mountains. pesrop was the biggest founder here as I'm trying to get used to it's controls. 18 hours in, and still withg lots to go as I only did one main quest world. Level 19 woot! DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.

Musopticon? Posted November 26, 2007 Posted November 26, 2007 (edited) You can choose party members for missions, there's a "shore party" load-out every time you land on something, be it THE foreboding lava world or some random rock in the middle of nowhere. And as for tentacle rape, here, check the last segment. Also, that video seemed to feature all planetary(off-Citadel) missions I've done(or fumbled) so far. Volourn Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 You want the rape!?! You can't handle the rape! P.S. ME is still awesome. And, superior to KOTOR. Did I mention that already? Oh yeah, I did. DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
Leferd Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 So I was chatting up with my good buddy Alenko when he ends the conversation with this: "...besides, I wouldn't want you to think that I'm a whiner..." HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Very nice easter egg. Didn't notice Gaider's name anywhere in the credits. HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Very nice easter egg. Didn't notice Gaider's name anywhere in the credits. I thought something seemed a little odd about that. I'm not sure the reference though, or who Gaider is. Poor Kaiden I choose him to die, a horrible horrible death. However, I don't understand how he died yet all the other Salarians he was with survived...Guess he was in the wrong squad. There was a time when I questioned the ability for the schizoid to ever experience genuine happiness, at the very least for a prolonged segment of time. I am no closer to finding the answer, however, it has become apparent that contentment is certainly a realizable goal. I find these results to be adequate, if not pleasing. More data must be gleaned and further collated before a sufficient judgment can be reached.
Leferd Posted November 28, 2007 Posted November 28, 2007 Have you played KotOR? Long story short: The voice of Kaiden Alenko is the same as one the party NPC's from Kotor, Carth Onassi. He was the romanceable character for female player characters. However, to many male player characters, he came across as, "whiny". This was talked over constantly in the Bio boards. Dave Gaider was Carth's writer. He's also a very active forum poster. "Things are funny...are comedic, because they mix the real with the absurd." - Buzz Aldrin."P-O-T-A-T-O-E" - Dan Quayle
theslug Posted November 29, 2007 Posted November 29, 2007 Yeah I played kotor and noticed the voice but didn't know about that other stuff. Thanks. I just finished the game. The very very end was pretty damn similar to kotor which kind of blew but leading up to it was pretty sweet. Loved it. Saren's "final form" was pretty tight however I wish he would of put more of a fight, then I realized I had it on casual from a previous session but w/e it was cool. Not quite sure how they are going to fit 2 more games unless they skip ahead like a few million years, unless they are able to travel faster than light without mass relays or they find a mass relay, then I guess they could continue with the commander. Leferd Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 Alien sex, naughty language, debate over atheism/religion, murder-death-kill, executions, rrrracism!, choices with consequences, and tentacle rape. I'm only about a third of the way in. "Things are funny...are comedic, because they mix the real with the absurd." - Buzz Aldrin."P-O-T-A-T-O-E" - Dan Quayle
Xard Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 (edited) Alien sex Uhh, like it has really been shown once? I mean "porn style" naughty language BAWWW debate over atheism/religion awesome, but unless you're 18 this is harmful to you? pffft murder-death-kill sounds like most of the games executions same rrrracism! right, like ME would create kkk's choices with consequences tentacle rape it was a lie! I saw no rape in that video! Edited November 30, 2007 by Xard How can it be a no ob build. It has PROVEN effective. Xard Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 (edited) stupid uptight americans Not that it matters, but it's just so stupid Also, if there really is tentacle rape in game this game's WIN % rises expotentially to unimaginable numbers Lesbian sex with anthromorphic starfish alien whose eyes turn ****ing creepy during foreplay PLUS tentacle raping PLUS weird ass alien lapdance PLUS extreme choices = Sparta of 24th century (or whenever game takes place) Edited November 30, 2007 by Xard How can it be a no ob build. Pop Posted November 30, 2007 Posted November 30, 2007 I have no idea why anyone would have difficulty fighting the Thresher Maws. You just move around in a circle, or better yet, sit at a safe distance and move a little bit to the left or right when it spits at you, hitting it with fire all the while. Easy. Join me, and we shall make Production Beards a reality!
Calax Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 (edited) Just beat it.... I let the citidel Council die... it had logic behind it! the game only had two tough parts, the first was when you meet the first geth destroyer on eden prime and the second was when you were trying to find your girlfriend. the whole ambush was hard, otherwise once you hit about level 15 things become smoother than silk. I thought they should have had a romantic rivalry between williams and Liara Anyway. Overall the game felt too big. and some of the sidequests felt like they wanted to force you to be a hybrid (I was a straitblooded soldier.) by having the quests require you to have decryption and electronics. anyway, now I'm off to start the female renegade. Also the game felt to spread out. Its an interesting feeling but I don't like running all over creation to do one quest then have to do the same thing for a different quest. Edited December 1, 2007 by Calax Victor of the 5 year fan fic competition! Kevin Butler will awesome your face off.
theslug Posted December 1, 2007 Posted December 1, 2007 There is a rivalry between the two. They made me choose between them and i choose the alien girl. I'm very interested in your ending though. What happened? Mine I saved the council and basically they let you choose which human gets to be on the council. Either the ambassador or obama Anderson, then you choose, and you abruptly leave after saying something like "I gotta save the universe from the incoming invasion." Volourn Posted December 4, 2007 Posted December 4, 2007 Well, I just completed Feros. A very well done planet. The plant creature (thorian) was a site to behold though I wish it had a little more oompth to its defenses though. The thing reeked of a dark alien (lol) acient evil intelligence. Love how you could handle the settlers. Your decision here do have consequences to be sure. To destroy or to save an entire colony. Too kewl for skewl. I think side quests (as opposed to side planets) are underappreciated in ME. I've noticed a patter, however, that powerful beings in the ME universe really love to control others. HA! It's all about control. Love the Skyway, and how you can actually jump/fall off and plummet. Heh. the Rachni seem cool. I don't think they're as evil as initially presumed (seemed to have been subtley controlled by the Reapers when they did their earl;er rampage). I'm sure we'll meet them in ME2. The krogan, on the other hand, seemed to have their ill fate destined because opf their piss poor attitude. I'm surprised how fast some people are completing this game. I've played for like 35 hours, and still not enar the end. I'm figuring it'll 45-50 hours at least. OMGZ! P.S. ME > KOTOR DWARVES IN PROJECT ETERNITY = VOLOURN HAS PLEDGED $250.
