June 28, 200718 yr Raining off and on since yesterday in Wylie, Texas. I'm trying to teach my cat that when it sounds like raining, it's raining. It was pouring heavily last night and he was begging to go outside. I open the door, he sees rain, he flips out and runs away from the door. 5 minutes later, still raining heavily, he's back at the door begging to go outside. June 28, 200718 yr High of 107 today. There was a time when I questioned the ability for the schizoid to ever experience genuine happiness, at the very least for a prolonged segment of time. I am no closer to finding the answer, however, it has become apparent that contentment is certainly a realizable goal. I find these results to be adequate, if not pleasing. Unfortunately, connection is another subject entirely. When one has sufficiently examined the mind and their emotional constructs, connection can be easily imitated. More data must be gleaned and further collated before a sufficient judgment can be reached.
June 28, 200718 yr hopefully there are no survivors of the fallen cats. i have two, btw. one is a flake, completely skittish. she's lived with me for 9 years now and STILL i cannot make any moves towards her. then suddenly she'll jump up in my lap wanting attention. the other is a fat slob. we've given up trying to diet him because he'll eat all of the food in the dish, leaving none for the flake. she's skinny enough, and not capable of defending herself if fatso is hogging the dish. of course, she picks all the fights the two have, which makes absolutely no sense, even trying to use cat logic. taks comrade taks... just because.

Is it possible to work in your bathing suit, by any chance? :D I doubt that qualifies as "business casual." But I work in an air conditioned office, so it's not so bad. My only exposure to the outside on days like this are the walks between my office and the Metro (1 block), and the Metro and my apartment (3 blocks).

June 28, 200718 yr clouded today - heavy rain yesterday, I was outside for like 5 minutes and was totally drenched! the rain is gonna be somewhat sporadic in the next couple of days, but overall it's like late summer/early autumn here. Wet, windy and warm. Fortune favors the bald.
