Baley
I was young, and still thought the fusion of rap and rock was a noble endeavor. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Kamaal the Abstract - though Arista deemed it too uncommercial and never properly released it. I hope Q-Tip really does publish it independently. Also - the more rockish Roots albums. (Fishbone - Behaviour Control Technician Subhumans - Mickey Mouse Is Dead) Minutemen - Jesus and Tequila. Darth Drabek
Man, it's been forever since I listened to Fishbone. While you're here, I'll ask a question. Is Double Nickles on the Dime really as essential as it's street cred says it is? I've heard very good things. Meat Puppets - Backwater Edit: Oh, and here's the interesting back story on that Ted Leo song. The name always left me scratching my head, and now I know what the heck "Tell Balgeary, Balgury is dead," really means! It's from a quirky British folk tale, I guess. Fun read. Baley
If by essential you mean the greatest thing a group of humans (that isn't the Stooges) ever conceived, than yes. Minutemen - The World Acording To Nouns. Hey, Baley, how's your movie watching? (feel free to answer in the appropriate thread) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I've watched 15 Futurama episodes and a Jet Li flick - I'm gonna try watching Marnie now. No - I'm too lazy; I'll wait till the weeked, it's: Stalker, The Bride Wore Black and The Haunting. Alien's on the telly in an hour or so. Darth Drabek
Man, between you and Kor I've got more music than I have time to listen to it... but as country singer Joe Diffie (of "John Deere Green" fame) once said: "I'd like to have a problem like that." Erasure - Love to Hate You Hmm... sounds like the stuff that the indie kids are hyping these days. Guess it all comes around again, eh? baby, take off your beret everyone's a critic and most people are DJs

Kor Qel Droma
The Beach Boys - Wouldn't It Be Nice Personally, I don't really care much for the BBs'. Brian Wilson is sort of amusing in a certifiable way, and could write some killer harmonies. The rest of the group seems kind of meh. I think I like this song because it was featured on an episode of Angel. Edited November 5, 2006 by Kor Qel Droma Jaguars4ever is still alive. No word of a lie.
