Darth Drabek Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 ^^nice! I'm listening to the live version of Beast Of Burden <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I was quite impressed by the slick transition from "Me So Horny" to "66." And Greg's line at the end of Omerta is classic Dulli. Damn -- I wish I knew who the hell they were back when they were still touring! baby, take off your beret everyone's a critic and most people are DJs
Draken Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 Steely Dan- FM I found A Decade of Steely Dan in my basement. You guys like? Seriously, only like, three people can touch my body
Darth Drabek Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 (edited) Guess I'd better haul this back onto page one, eh? Dexy's Midnight Runners - There There, My Dear Oh, and I'm not too well versed on Steely Dan, but everything of theirs that I've heard has been good. You can count on them for a slick-sounding song, that's for sure. Edited December 4, 2006 by Darth Drabek baby, take off your beret everyone's a critic and most people are DJs
Kor Qel Droma Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 Is Steely Dan the 'Ricky Don't Lose My Number' band? I always get them confused with Roxy Music for some strange reason. Frank Black - Headache because I have one Jaguars4ever is still alive. No word of a lie.
Darth Drabek Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 Yeah, I think so. And the "Back... Jack... do it again" band as well, I think. This one is a real genrebender. Prog-punk-reggae? It's like one part 40 oz. to Freedom, two parts The Decline, for lack of a better comparison. baby, take off your beret everyone's a critic and most people are DJs

Pidesco Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 (edited) Yeah, but it's similar so perhaps Craig just heard wrong. It starts off with "Hot town, Summer in the city" and after it has a bit with a "come on". Musopticon? Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 Battlelore - Ghan of the woods I've never really liked this bad, mostly because I don't like the whole "we are a Tolkien theme band". After Blind Guardian's...well, everything, it feels rather weak. They can be very catchy though. The sound is sort of...how could I put this...a mix between power metal, slager, jump riff metalcore and thrash. Yeah, sounds sucky as hell, but rocks actually quite a bit. I have to mosh at that songs chorus, hehe. kirottu said: I was raised by polar bears. I had to fight against blood thirsty wolves and rabid penguins to get my food. Musopticon? Posted December 5, 2006 Posted December 5, 2006 If giving "a sense of ****ing awesomeness" correlates with the act of "rod-sucking", then...no. But it's otherwise great.
