SadExchange Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 Has anyone spent any time with this game? I know it's gotten some pretty bad reviews, but I was wondering if any part of the game is decent enough to give it a run through. I just recently watched the movie and had fun with both Silent Storm and Hammer and Sickle.
alanschu Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 There is a demo available somewhere. That's probably your best bet for getting an idea on how the game is played.
Darque Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 Starforce makes me NOT want to get that game <_<
Spider Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 Think of it as a S2 light, but with supernatural stuff instead of sci fi. Nowhere near as good as S2 or S3, but a decent enough diversion. Can't compare to H&S since I haven't played it.
Oerwinde Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 I saw the movie, does that count? The area between the balls and the butt is a hotbed of terrorist activity.
Hurlshort Posted August 30, 2006 Posted August 30, 2006 If you like Hammer and Sickle, you might be able to enjoy Nightwatch. The interface is much improved, but the combat isn't as difficult or complex.
mkreku Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 I'm playing Silent Storm right now. They're based on the same engine: it rocks. I also happened to see the movie: it sucked. Should I trust the engine or the movie? Swedes, go to: Spel2, for the latest game reviews in swedish!

Spider Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 Should I trust the engine or the movie? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> How about a little of both? The gameplay is fun (although somewhat simplified) but the writing is a bit meh.
Hurlshort Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 If you disliked the movie, or rather the concepts in the movie, then you won't like the game any better.
Dark_Raven Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 Starforce makes me NOT want to get that game <_< <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Enlighten us. Hades was the life of the party. RIP You'll be missed.
Hurlshort Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 (edited) Eh, I'm soooo tired of hearing folks whine about Starforce. It's not that big of a deal. If you want to make copies of your games, then the current removal software is easy enough to use. And the message was recieved, as every major company has said they will not use Starforce in the future. It's NOT worth boycotting games you WANT to play over. http://www.glop.org/starforce/ for removal tips Edited September 4, 2006 by Hurlshot
Jorian Drake Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 But but but, it blows up DVDs! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> not the dvd-s the drivers and more
