I don't mind seeing some older worlds as long as they don't look exactly the same. Of course I'm assuming that K3 will run on a new engine, new visuals new possibilites the works.

I'm hoping that we visit some of the worlds that were cut from the previous games. The two most notable ones are -

-----

Sleheyron - A volcanic world controlled by the Hutts (A good substitue to anyone wanting Mustafar). It was supposed to be one of the most industrialized worlds in the galaxy with gas refineries, landing bays, slave pens all over the place. It was even rumored to have a gladiator arena (I really miss fighting for cash) run by 'Hutt Lords'.

-----

M4-78 - Droids baby Droids. It was cut from K2. I think it's still a point of interest however. It could offer alot for any droids in the player's party. Perhaps we can actually put some canon history onto the planet as well.

-----

Ilum - The opposite to Tatoonie. An icy, snow world long used by the Jedi for crystals. It's native species the gorgodons would provide an interesting foe (well not really, but it would be cool to see in game). Obviously this world would provide a ton of crystals for the player to use in lightsaber construction (instead of going to the Dantoonie caves again, I hate Kinraths). Besides that it could offer for some really mystic looking environments for the artists.

-----

Coruscant - This should serve as the 'New York' of the game. It would be like Taris with the multiple layers and all, but it would provide more in terms of what you could do with the story. Perhaps we can meet the current Supreme Chancellor or perhaps check out a new growing Jedi Order. Not only that but it's a really popular world.

-----

Alderaan - This is London or Paris compared to New York. Alot of fancy architecture, wealthy families etc. Sort of similar to Onderon with all this 'royality' and such. Not only that but it's barely seen. You only get glimpses or mentions of it at most. But the place looks beutiful.

-----

Korriban - I know we've seen it before, but for story purposes I think it might make a return. Perhaps a remant Sith faction has established the world as a base of operations. And if the 'True Sith' are to return they may be interested in the world. If the story allows you to choose between Jedi and Sith academies, then Korriban might end up being the best choice as many Sith probably know of it's location.

That's all I can think of at any rate :)

Great list of planets Terranova  I agree on all of them, and your reasonings too, you've got six planets, the two I'd add to that are Ziost and Mykr, and if it's possible to add another planet, it would be Khar Shian...

I agree on all planets that Terranova stated, but I would add Ziost as final planet and Dantooine again, just to see how the Lost Jedi are doing rebuilding the Jedi Order and the Academy.

Well, I personally think we've seen enough of Dantooine, I think if we are to see any Jedi Academy in KOTOR III, it should be on Coruscant, where the Exile's companions (if you set the Exile as LS) or a group of new replacable characters (if you set the Exile as DS) are rebuilding the new Jedi Order and have set up their new academy on Coruscant.

Or perhaps, if you set the Exile as DS, then his/her companions have set up a new Sith/Dark Jedi Academy on Korriban. Maybe what alignment you set the Exile as will determine what academy you start at, or perhaps regardless of the Exile's alignment, both the Jedi and the Sith will be very weak, but will still be rebuilding their Order's on Coruscant/Korriban respectively, and you will have the choice of joining the Jedi Academy on Coruscant or the Sith Academy on Korriban.

Or maybe you don't join the Jedi and the Sith all together, but instead, you are a part of a 'grey' clan and train under a master (a bit like how the Exile trained under Kreia, who embodied in the 'grey' philosophy) which is my preference anyway, as you can still be as LS or DS as you want in terms of behaviour/personality, but you just learn the ways of the force the 'grey' way but are free to act as you want, I think in terms of roleplaying, it would be a good idea to begin as part of a 'grey' clan in a potential KOTOR III.

Some planets that allow an introduction of alternative alien races. Obliteration of Visas's world in second game simply left such an option uncharted.

I think as introduction we could go to either Sheleyron or Katarr, since we never visited them.

Then Corellia. Then the three options: Dathomir, Ilum and Coruscant.

Then M4-78. Then other two options: Unknown World and Yavin 4.

Finally Ziost.

Katarr? You do know everyone is dead there right. And I'd bet alot of people would be afraid to colonize the world when all it's inhabitants were 'devoured'.

If you want to see more Miralukas, you'd be better off asking for Alpheridies, the adopted homeworld of their species. And according to wiki, there was an ancient Sith Lord that came there around 8,000 BBY speculated to be apart of the 'True Sith Empire' (Though, don't take wiki for it's word however).

Your right... sounds fishy. Then lets forget Katarr and head to Alpheridies instead.

True Sith you say? Interesting.

However, it depends in which period the game will be... cos I heard that it MIGHT be around 14 years after K2. So my that time probably the Rep will have started a restoration project.

Dagobah would be interesting in a sense that its dark atmosphere is able to conceal existence of other life and sentients habiting its terrain in some way or another as it did with Yoda. Adapting it to K3, however, would require some further probing and imagining its environment a few millennia back in time.

Ye but I don't like the planet anyway... besides it didn't have any connection to either the Mandy Wars, the JCW or that period.

I think the whole Dantooine thing should be dropped, seeing as 4,000 years later, there's practically no one living on Dantooine, except for the native Dantari people.

As for all the people who suggest Myrkr... as curious as I would be to see exactly how gross it would be to fight a vornskr... not to mention a pack of them, as they generally travel in packs of three or more, you do realize you wouldn't be able to use your Force powers at all while on that planet, right? (Unless perhaps you ran into an area where there were no ysalamiri present, in which case the nearby vornskrs would likely all flock to you, given that they prefer hunting Force-users)

I'm curious, would anyone be interested in going back to Rakata Prime? On Wiki it's speculated that the Rakatan were accepted into the galactic society (Chances are they were especially with an Revan LS ending). It would be interesting to aquire and or uncover mysteries behind Rakatan technology, as well as provide a nice tropical world for players to explore.

Meh.

Sure the place was nice and all, but there are so many other planets at least just as nice and as mysterious that we haven't visited yet.

I can't really think of a reason why we'd have to go back there. We only ended up there so we could be granted access to the Star Forge. So unless there was an actual relevant reason for us to go back, I'd rather just see a new planet, just for the sake of change.

I agree. Rakata Prime was nice, but it was very small and had no major role in the True Sith plot. Ziost is our main choice. That is the true Sith homeworld.

Have yet to see Telos in a slightly restored state than it was in TSL.

Rakata only was important for two basic things in the whole KotOR1 storyline, Further information and revelation about Revan, what he was doing there and an insight into what he used to be like. And the second is just getting to the Star Forge, the third one could possibly be just about learning about the Rakatans which isnt that important at all, but now the whole focus is on Revan vs True Sith, if there is a k3 we will need stuff revolving around that part as well as something which we are familar with, some old planets

If I was a mod, I would have closed this topic down already. All KotOR III related discussion should go in the 'KotOR III Ideas, Suggestions and Discussion' thread, so lock this damn topic down mods!
