Zhen Dil Oloth Posted July 8, 2006 Posted July 8, 2006 Hi guys, Here is a pin-up that I just did for the "30th anniversary of Nova" fanzine. Will post the color version once it's done (probably next week). I also included what should be the final version of the cover. Before someone ask, the fanzine will be available as a free download on the Nova Prime page; http://www.novaprimepage.com/ Hope you guys like it.
Oerwinde Posted July 8, 2006 Posted July 8, 2006 With the upgrade they gave his costume in the Annihilation miniseries, you'd think they would make his helmet a little less lame. Anyway, thumbs up for Marvel's Green Lantern ripoff! The area between the balls and the butt is a hotbed of terrorist activity.
Enoch Posted July 8, 2006 Posted July 8, 2006 Comic books? I thought this was going to be about the PBS documentary series!
thepixiesrock Posted July 8, 2006 Posted July 8, 2006 Comic books? I thought this was going to be about the PBS documentary series! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I was just about to post the same thing. Now I don't have to. Thanks. Lou Gutman, P.I.- It's like I'm not even trying anymore!http://theatomicdanger.iforumer.com/index....theatomicdangerOne billion b-balls dribbling simultaneously throughout the galaxy. One trillion b-balls being slam dunked through a hoop throughout the galaxy. I can feel every single b-ball that has ever existed at my fingertips. I can feel their collective knowledge channeling through my viens. Every jumpshot, every rebound and three-pointer, every layup, dunk, and free throw. I am there.
LadyCrimson Posted July 8, 2006 Posted July 8, 2006 Comic books? I thought this was going to be about the PBS documentary series! I was just about to post the same thing. Now I don't have to. Thanks. My parents have watched Nova for years, and that's definitely what came to my mind first, as well. :D The pin-up looks nice tho. “Things are as they are. taks Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 Comic books? I thought this was going to be about the PBS documentary series! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I was just about to post the same thing. Now I don't have to. Thanks. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> ditto. though if memory serves, there are a ton of early 70s nova episodes with spock that i remember watching... was that nova? taks comrade taks... just because.
Calax Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 all I know of nova is that he's in the defenders and he is called the human rocket... reminds me more of the better known cannon ball than GL... but then I don't read much of Nova. Victor of the 5 year fan fic competition! Kevin Butler will awesome your face off.
Fenghuang Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 I watch Nova every week awesome show. Good to know it's been around for thirty years. RIP
Oerwinde Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 all I know of nova is that he's in the defenders and he is called the human rocket... reminds me more of the better known cannon ball than GL... but then I don't read much of Nova. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> He's somewhat Marvel's version of Green Lantern, only not nearly as cool or popular. He's a member of the Nova Corps, aka Xandarian StarCorps, which were originally a defence force for the planet Xandar, but turned into a sort of interstellar police force. Recently all of the Nova Corps were killed and Nova absorbed the Xandarian Worldmind, the supercomputer that I believe was the source of the Nova Corps powers. He then got a big power upgrade and such. Um... Kyle Raynor(Better than Hal Jordan) anyone? The area between the balls and the butt is a hotbed of terrorist activity.
Calax Posted July 18, 2006 Posted July 18, 2006 he doesn't make constructs with a ring... he's not green lantern. However- Doc Spectrum IS Marvels version of GL. Victor of the 5 year fan fic competition! Kevin Butler will awesome your face off.
Walsingham Posted July 19, 2006 Posted July 19, 2006 Aa! So THAT's where Dan Abnett has been sloping off to, filthy stop-out. Give us him back, damn your eyes. We need him to write Gaunt's Ghosts. "It wasn't lies. It was just... bull****"." -Elwood Blues tarna's dead; processing... complete. Disappointed by Universe. RIP Hades/Sand/etc. Here's hoping your next alt has a harp.
