June 5, 200619 yr alright, seeing as current gen consoles are only going to get more and more affordable, I may end up grabbing a PS2 for some games I can't get any other way. we've heard a lot of good things about God of War. anyway, what are the top 10 games for the console? they don't have to be RPGs but the top 10 from an RPG gamer's perspective.

June 5, 200619 yr my top 10 PS2 games would be, in no particular order: Suikoden 3, Suikoden 5, GTA(all 3 lumped together), Star Ocean: Until the End of Time, Final Fantasy X, Prince of Persia(lumped all together), Beyond Good and Evil, X-Men Legends(both together), MGS2, MGS3. The area between the balls and the butt is a hotbed of terrorist activity.

Tekken 5 (skip 4) Soul Calibur 3 (2 is also good) Virtua Fighter 4 Evolution Of course I also like playing: Prince of Persia Sands of Time, Warrior Within and Two Thrones God of War is a must. Burnout Takedown and Revenge are also good if you like racing. For tactical RPGs, give Gladius a try. Its pretty good. R-type Final and Gradius 5 are also cool games. Don't forget the Metal Gear Solid, I would get Substance and Subsistence Katamari~! When did I accumulate so many PS2 games...though all are used.

What I didn't like was the fact that it looked too much like Dragonball. When the main character goes super sai... I mean, reaches "Max Tension," come on...
June 8, 200619 yr I've heard God of War and Devil May Cry 3 are similar to Ninja Gaiden? I'm playing NG currently and it's driving me wild. I might end up picking a cheap used PS2 for GoW and DMC3. What are GoW and/or DMC3 like in terms of Combat (pace, challenge, variety, balance), Presentation, Story and Badass-ness of the Hero? Yeah yeah yeah, I know Kratos is the baddest of them all :D, but can he match Ryu wiping blood off his True Dragon Sword after performing a Storm of the Heavenly Dragons? Huh? Huh?
