Llyranor Posted July 2, 2009 Posted July 2, 2009 Which is exactly why they should do it. (Approved by Fio, so feel free to use it)
Wrath of Dagon Posted July 2, 2009 Posted July 2, 2009 Are you being funny or do you not know thats a picture full of empty boxes? Each empty box represents a main story quest, and yes, it was just to show the design of the game, not to explain what it's about. "Moral indignation is a standard strategy for endowing the idiot with dignity." Marshall McLuhan
alanschu Posted July 2, 2009 Posted July 2, 2009 'course you is also the guy who ain't seen mainstream game graphics you likes better than aod, so is some questions regarding your honesty/taste/sanity. This is why it's useless to answer your rambling rants. I'm through talking to you. I think he has a pretty good point to be honest. No game looks nicer than this one?
Aristes Posted July 2, 2009 Posted July 2, 2009 I'm leaning towards the purchase at this point. I really liked those character portraits. The other graphics have been lackluster, but I'm not a graphics whore anyhow.
alanschu Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 The gameplay is of utmost importance to me. As someone that is frequently too wordy I am pretty tolerant of their verbose descriptions
Aristes Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 As someone that is frequently too wordy I am pretty tolerant of their verbose descriptions I'm in touch with that emotion, bro.
Llyranor Posted July 3, 2009 Posted July 3, 2009 1. I'll stop him 2. Not if I can help it 3. I'm through talking to you (Approved by Fio, so feel free to use it)

deadlus Posted July 21, 2009 Posted July 21, 2009 More portraits and descriptions: http://www.irontowerstudio.com/forum/index.php?topic=924.0 Even more by now. Also, the thread where Oscar explains what he does got updated with Part 3: Interior Levels.
Purkake Posted July 24, 2009 Posted July 24, 2009 This doesn't seem very decadent to me. I always saw the title as more of a jab at the current state of WRPGs...
deadlus Posted July 31, 2009 Posted July 31, 2009 New portraits here. Also, Vince showed a situation where the player gets cornered in an inn room by the Imperial Guard: "You've killed Carbo" The captain says as an explanation. "The boys here have a problem with that." 1. "It was a fair fight". "Can't expect to fight only fair fights if you make a living killing folk, can you?" The guards draw their weapons. 2. ... 3. ... 4. [trading] ... 5. [persuasion] ... 6. [body count] ... The graphics look sharp, eh? You look at it and you wanna start planning the fight right away. Alternatively, you can jump out of that window, if you have something against 6:1 odds. link
Monte Carlo Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 I'm liking that a lot. Does this game have shotguns?
H Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 Crossbows are a lot like shotguns, except they are crossbows.
Monte Carlo Posted August 1, 2009 Posted August 1, 2009 ^ Dude, if William Tell had tried that apple trick with a sawn-off Remmy pump gun the legend might have been slightly different in the telling
deadlus Posted August 5, 2009 Posted August 5, 2009 DoubleBear Productions, an indie dev studio formed by Brian Mitsoda and Annie Carlson (both should ring a bell around here) joins ITS to develop "a turn-based RPG that emphasizes survival and escape as civilization begins to decay". There are also some new portraits, link some posts above.
deadlus Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 Feedback on the Combat Demo here. There's also a nice collection of posts at RPG Watch, the demo seems to be due in about 2 months.
entrerix Posted August 11, 2009 Posted August 11, 2009 i checked amazon for age of decadence, no listing. is this game real? or did it not actually come out? Killing is kind of like playin' a basketball game. I am there. and the other player is there. and it's just the two of us. and I put the other player's body in my van. and I am the winner. - Nice Pete.

Purkake Posted August 12, 2009 Posted August 12, 2009 I was just under the impression that it was like a community project or something. So it's like Mount and Blade in it's indie-ness?
Jaesun Posted August 13, 2009 Posted August 13, 2009 I was just under the impression that it was like a community project or something. So it's like Mount and Blade in it's indie-ness? Yes it IS an actual team of people making games. Not a community project. The current teams are however a bit small, just like an indie title.
