Worst KotOR II character ever?

Cannot help but consider G0T0 as a reminiscent remnant of SW: ANH droid interrogater, and that his character was almost ill-fitting for story. Replicating character, even a droid into another story leaves imagination unutilised.

One vote from me; you got 11 to go. But seriously: From the idea of his joining your party, to his pointless (because under-explained) acts on the ebon hawk, and finally to the completely buffling appearance at the mass shadow generator, he is under-developed, annoying, and useless. And why did he have to look exactly like those torture droids in AHN? He seems to lack but a syringe.

 

.....when I come to think of it: Why doesn't George replace that syringe with something more space-adventure-looking'?

I'm not sure if I've already done this or not, but if I were asked to rank from 1-12 (from best to worst) who IMO is the best/worst KotOR II character, this is what the list would be...

 

1. Kreia

2. Atton

3. T3-M4

4. Handmaiden

5. Visas

6. HK-47

7. Mandalore

8. Hanharr

9. GO-TO

10. Bao-Dur

11. Mira

12. Disciple

 

Disagree? Fair enough, but that's my opinion and 'no one' will ever change it (apart from myself, if I change my mind for some reason)...

G0TO is a perfect example of a character that, while he played an important part in the story, should have been releasable as a party member....he could have easily reappeared and had plenty of dialogue and cutscenes, even after you released him.

 

but we should not have been stuck with him.

 

having said that, he can be useful, especially at the Dxun Tomb if you give him 2 fully-upgraded Mandalorian Rippers...he becomes a mine-removing, floating killing machine!

I never use him once I get his backstory... sorry, just gave me an odd image. The floating sphere holding two guns bigger than he is... although I suppose the same applies to T3. ^_^

Well Bao-Dur wasn't a crappy character i mean he becomes the start of the Jedi Watchmen. And hanhar i didnt like him so ya u can talk bad about him. G0-T0 peed me off cause u couldn't get rid of him all he wanted was the galaxy kept alive for HIS BENIFIT heck he was so rich.

I have played KotOR2 at least 10 times, at no point, and I mean no point, have I

ever used G0-T0!!! He just comes across as useless, although I'm sure he is not.

If a character has no real attachment, or a poor background story in other words,

I don't want to use him!

 

Ranking the characters:

 

1 - Handmaiden

2 - Bao-Dur

3 - Mira

4 - Atton

5 - Mandalore

6 - Kreia

7 - HK-47

8 - T3-M4

9 - Visas

10 - Disciple

11 - Hanharr

12 - G0-T0

 

As you can see I much prefer the characters that you can really influence. (with the

exception of disciple, who's battle cry kind of put me off, as well as the fact that

turning him into a jedi took, like, 1 minute.)

Hanharr is so low, mainly because I like Mira so much (kind of reminds me of

mission in a way). Visas, well she was really only good for giving the force sight

ability, and at the point where the party is split up.

Handmaiden is no 1 because her story is interesting and leaves much room for

speculation, as well as the tie ins with atris. Bao-Dur is just so damn useful, I always leveled him high as a tech specialist to max out his skills, then turned him jedi, with

a few force powers, gave him a couple of blasters, and stuck him in ranged, with

2 mandalorian disintegrators, fully upgraded (ow is all I can say!!)

Why isn't there an option for "all of the above" for worst character? I mean, all these characters seem truly, stupidly wrought. While the story in outline is ok, every way the story is brought into flesh seems clumsy and almost intentionally wrong to Star Wars but would be spectacular in a non-affiliated space opera title.
