Darth Drabek Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 (edited) You loonies. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> If dropping in periodically to talk about what's in my CD player (and if it's worth anybody else listening to it) is wrong....... well then I don't want to be right. Besides, I've been turned on to several good bands from checking out other people's recommendations. I'm not going to stop now. LONG LIVE THE TRUE MUSIC THREAD! :D Edited April 20, 2006 by Darth Drabek baby, take off your beret everyone's a critic and most people are DJs
LoneWolf16 Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 Chevelle - The Clincher I had thought that some of nature's journeymen had made men and not made them well, for they imitated humanity so abominably. - Book of Counted Sorrows 'Cause I won't know the man that kills me and I don't know these men I kill but we all wind up on the same side 'cause ain't none of us doin' god's will. - Everlast
Kor Qel Droma Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 A bunch of White Stripes songs. They aren't so bad in small doses. Jaguars4ever is still alive. No word of a lie.
Baley Posted April 20, 2006 Author Posted April 20, 2006 (edited) John Coltrane - Psalm (Recorded at the Festival Mondial du Jazz Antibes) I will personally butcher the first pissant to insult jazz in one of my threads. No Cause I'm a coward. But I'll go all emo on your ass. It's funny how easily I break my own rules and show how much of a ****ing hypocrite I am, groovy. Edited April 20, 2006 by Baley
Darth Drabek Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 A bunch of White Stripes songs. They aren't so bad in small doses. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I like to dust off my copy of "De Stihl (possible egregious misspelling)" every now and then. Baley Posted April 20, 2006 Author Posted April 20, 2006 (edited) I like to laugh at people who like The White Stripes. But only when I'm drunk. Kaada & Mike Patton - Pens Edited April 20, 2006 by Baley
Darth Drabek Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 Oh come on, they aren't so bad. Yeah, they're very overrated, but at least Jack White is drawing from solid rootsy blues for his inspiration. The brother/sister thing was stupid and the whole red and white gimmick is just that, but they do make decent, albeit repetitive, music. And he beat the **** outta that guy from the Von Bondies, which was a good move in my book. baby, take off your beret everyone's a critic and most people are DJs
Baley Posted April 20, 2006 Author Posted April 20, 2006 (edited) Okay, I just read about that on wikipedia and it sounds awesome, but he's no Juan Brujo. 16 Horsepower - Alone and Forsaken Great Cover. I love this band, I really do. Edited April 20, 2006 by Baley

Darth Drabek Posted April 20, 2006 Posted April 20, 2006 That infomercial with Kenny Rogers was on last night. The one for some 10-disc set of country classics or something like that. You know the kind, scrolling list of songs down the middle of the screen, 10 second clips of the artists, BUT WAIT, THERE'S MORE! Anyway, it really threw into stark relief how much better Kenny Rogers was than his contemporaries. The lady hosting the show said KR had number one hits in FIVE decades. FIVE!
