Darth Drabek
Have you guys heard Halford's "Resurrection" album? I remember picking up a two-song demo tape of it at some concert. It was the title track and the song with Bruce Dickinson, "The One You Love To Hate." Pretty cool stuff, especially the title track, which was killer. baby, take off your beret everyone's a critic and most people are DJs

Altough their names are a bit 'lame', there are some really cool songs, namely, Twist, Resurrection, Cyberworld, Locked and Loaded and The One You Love To Hate. As i said, it's a good album. Sometimes even better than Angel of Retribution. Edited June 6, 2006 by karka

Baley
Saul Williams - 1987 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Seldom hearing the distant thunder in her lovers ambivalent sighs He was not honest She was not sure A great grandmother Had sacrificed the family's clarity for God in the late 1800's Nonetheless she had allowed him to mispronounce her name Which had eventually led to her misinterpreating her own dreams And later doubting them But The night was young She the firstborn daughter of water faced darkness and smiled Took mystery as her lover And raised light as her child

Darth Drabek
Steve Earle - Tom Ames' Prayer Here's the first half of a great story/song. Everyone in Nacadoches knew Tom Ames would come to some bad end Well the sheriff had caught him stealin' chickens and such By the time that he was ten So one day his daddy took a ten dollar bill And he rolled it up in his hand He said "I know you're headed for trouble, son And your momma wouldn't understand." So he took that money and his brothers old bay And he left without a word of thanks Fell in with a crowd in some border town And he took to robbin' banks Outside the law your luck will run out fast And a few years came and went 'Till he's trapped in an alley in Abilene with all but four shells spent And he realized prayin' was the only thing That he hadn't ever tried Well he wasn't sure he knew quite how But he looked up to the sky He said "You don't owe me nothin' and as far as I know Lord, I don't owe nothin' to you And I ain't askin' for a miracle, Lord Just a little bit of luck will do And you know I ain't never prayed before But it always seemed to me If prayin' is the same as beggin' Lord I don't take no charity." baby, take off your beret everyone's a critic and most people are DJs
