Melodramatic as always Colrom.

Funny that the bomb-in-turban cartoon wasn't even noticed till the scumbag Imams toured the middle east with a few of their own added.

DENMARK!

It appears that I have not yet found a sig to replace the one about me not being banned... interesting.

Ah!

Fox News ( ) :

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,188463,00.html

Also a mention of a "mild" stroke in January in another source - in connection with the word "exhaustion". :(

Strange association - unless one is talking about "heat stroke" which is not a stroke at all so far as I know. :p

As dark is the absence of light, so evil is the absence of good.

If you would destroy evil, do good.

Evil cannot be perfected. Thank God.

Stroke is a blood clot, that causes a loss of circulation and localized damage: it can occur anywhere (Deep Veined Thrombosis, a.k.a. Economy Class Syndrome, is a clot caused by the subtle change of circulation in the leg in suseptible people from unusual pressure

I think the intelligence of a show like South Park is severely understated.

They poke fun at current events like no tomorrow.

As for them picking sides, for the most part they pick on both sides quite a bit.

Maybe it's because it has a longer length, but the South Park movie (as well as Team America) definitely fall into this category.

I just read they're going to take revenge on Isaac Hayes by making Chef a pedophile and getting him killed.

That's actually very clever writing; paedophiles are (unfortunately) very adept at belnding into the community and using their camouflage to achieve a postion of trust, and when they are finally outed it can be a tremendous shock to everyone.

The episode was actually a tribute to Chef.

And a big **** you to him and scientology, but ya, still a tribute

No, they explicitly said that they shouldn't blame Chef, but that "silly little club he joined."

It's during the Eulogy!

hey now, maybe some of you should try to be nicer... after all, scientologists is all that stands between you and the dark overlord Xenu.

...

over the years we has chosen to defend the rights of some pretty wacky religions. the iskocn and pentecostal snake handling sects and moonies and bhagwan shree rajneesh followers is just a few of the peoples who has gotten help from Gromnir. will defend your rights even if we thinks your religion is kooky.

truthfully, we thinks that scientology is a hoot. anybody here feels bad that john travolta and tom cruise got taken by some yutz who , while he may have been a "virtually a pathological liar" 'bout his military record and his education, were no doubt completely honest 'bout his new religion.

HA!

Has anyone here actually read Dianetics? I did years ago...it was actually kind of interesting in a "one man theorizing out of his nose to sell books/prove how gullible people are" kind of way.

But Scientology the organized religion - they're horrible. Not because they believe in whatever they want to believe in, but because of the cult like aspect. I've known several people who've been harassed and hounded by Scientology "offices" when they joined and then quit - it borders on the threatening.

As to the South Park guy quitting...yeah, I read that a bit ago...hypocrisy at it's finest...that or a good example of organized cult pressure....or both...

L Ron Hubbard hated psychiatry, and he has a point: most of the mental defectives that specialise in it are only there to because they wanted to understand why they were so screwed up in the first place.

Problem is, Scientology now uses psychometric tests to tell people what they need to hear to get them to join the group. Cynical? Yes. Effective? Also yes. Did they get me (even with a pretty girl) off the street? No. (I did get a chuckle out of the test, though.)

I don't hate psychiatry but from my personal experiences I don't exactly believe in it either...at least from the psychological talky treatment point of view. Some of the physical/brain research of recent years has been intriguing tho.

There's a big difference between theoretical pop psychology and the more, uh...'hard' science of the brain.

I hate Dr. Phil. :D

Indeed, the "hard science" of brain anatomy, for example, is indistinguishable from any other anatomical or biological science.

The problem has always been that humans are very difficult to study, and the brain is EASILY the most complex thing in our known universe, so making quick assumptions

People are fond of the promise & lure of quick fixes/answers. Hard science doesn't fall into that category, although the drug companies would like to make people believe it to be so. o:)
