And I knew if I had my chance, I could egg on a few Trolls to "dance",
And maybe we'd be happy for a while.
But then Krackhead left and so did Klown;
Volo and Turnip were banned, Mystake got run out o' town.
Bad news on the Front Page,
BIOweenia said goodbye in a heated rage.
I can't remember if I cried
When I heard that TORN was recently fried,
But sadness touched me deep inside,
The day...Black Isle died.

For tarna, Visc, an' the rest o' the ol' Islanders that fell along the way

    I did not actively take part in the forums at IP, mostly because I didn't like their format. But I do remember my first encounters with people like Gromnir and Karzak.

     

    Kudos to Gromnir for staying in character for so long.

    He actually had some sort of farewell thread on this forum way back in its infancy. I think the mods and some forum members ganged up on him saying he was a jerk or something, so he said screw it I'm leaving. I think? Not sure if I remember that thread real well. *shrug*

    ...not quite what went down, but close...Krackhead was givin' a decision whether ta "say goodbye" an' leave peaceably or git booted immediately (we PMed each other quite a bit 'round this time)...Krackhead chose the gentleman's route (prolly fer the first time e'er) an' posted his Swan Song, then hit the bricks...I still misses the crazy ol' bugger... :p

    Mystique left before Black Isle boards were closed or perhaps he was banned. In the last thread I saw him, he flamed really really badly this other poster. I always liked Mystique when he was funny(and he was damn funny). Too bad he was such an "flame-on" type of person.
