Darkside
The older i get the shorter a year seems to me True, I forgot about that. I suppose I might do it too if it was something really bad (like a death that could have been prevented).
Darth_Schmarth
My Grandmother died last summer and I wouldn't be so keen on going through that one again. Come to think of it I've cried twice this year which must come as some sort of post-pre-teen record. ^Asinus asinorum in saecula saeculorum

Dark Moth
Sorry to hear that, Schmarth. My grandfather died six years ago, and it still hurts. And this year we also lost two pets, so that's one thing about this year I wouldn't really want to go through again. Rosbjerg
I lost mine when I was 12 .. so I can't really beat it, but every male in my family has died before they reached 50 .. so I have about 28 years to go.. beat that! WinterSun
My grandad died this year, and there was much joy and merriment amongst my family, as they realised that the child-molesting c*nt was finally gone master of my domain Pedicabo ego vos et irrumabo. LoneWolf16
Both horrible, and hillarious. I had thought that some of nature's journeymen had made men and not made them well, for they imitated humanity so abominably. - Book of Counted Sorrows 'Cause I won't know the man that kills me and I don't know these men I kill but we all wind up on the same side 'cause ain't none of us doin' god's will. - Everlast

Surreptishus
I dont get why the baby was an attempted abortion, is that the guy's way of saying he had a bad start to the year or is he saying that 2006 will be bad.
Pope
WHat if you could live through it like Bill Murray in Groundhog Day, except yours would be Groundhog Year. You could have a chance to prepare/prevent/lessen the impact of what ever difficulty you encountered.<{POST_SNAPBACK}> That'd be awesome, if it weren't for the fact that the downer I'm speaking of was beyond my grasp, and the impact would be pretty much the same, since I had felt it coming, I just didn't realize that after all these months it'd still be as devastating as when it occurred. But enough of that. New year, new downers.

Fionavar
Though I am appreciative of the honesty with which apparently many people are willing to share, I am also concerned that there are some very questionable nuances and clearly offensive remarks beginning to emerge in this thread. So I would like to thank everyone for their contribution, but rather than anything within become the basis for disrespect of the worst kind, I have chosen to close this down.
