Deraldin
Sounds cool and much more effective than the Sovietsque waste of manpower we see in the movie. Besides, I've always been a sucker for walkers - Dreadnought. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I'll see your Dreadnought and raise you an Atlas.

Arkan
The Warhound Titan of the MOST HOLY Imperial Titan Legions! Scared yet? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not at all. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> How about now? "Of course the people don't want war. But after all, it's the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it's always a simple matter to drag the people along whether it's a democracy, a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship. Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger." - Herman Goering at the Nuremberg trials "I have also been slowly coming to the realisation that knowledge and happiness are not necessarily coincident, and quite often mutually exclusive" - meta

Laozi
Hollywood has alway severly underestimated the mass appeal of giant robots fighting, when will they ever learn? Laozi
Ya Robot Joxs sucked the big one, but they must of had a budget of like $20,000, in todays money thats like $16,500. Hopefully now that King Kong is done with Peter Jackson will be able to move on to some giant robot epic. Wait...wrong era... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Not necessarily http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0418279/ <{POST_SNAPBACK}> <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I've been following the production over at Don Murphy's forums. He calls it his experiment. Include the fans in every part of the production of the movie and see what happens. So far he says its working well, he's explained some of the things they can't do without having the movie bomb, even though some fans, such as I, disagree with. (such as he says if the movie has the TFs instead of humans as the main characters, it will bomb. I disagree. The whole point of a TF movie is the TFs.) We've come to accept most of those. The writers even came in a couple times to touch base with the fans. We've so far influenced the following things: Peter Cullen and Frank Welker are at the top of the list of possible voice actors for Prime and Megatron Originally they were just going to leave out mass shifting (20 foot tall robot turning into handheld microcassette recorder) but now they're trying to see if they can explain it without it being lame. Its still likely going to be left out, but if they can find a decent explaination they might just have soundwave in his proper alt-mode The number of Decepticons has been increased from 5. Likely reason being to include Thundercracker and Skywarp. Arcee possibly dies. If they keep her in the movie. The top 2 things the fans are campaigning for is Cullen/Welker, and kicking Arcee out of the script in favor of Ironhide/Hound/Prowl So far all the info we have about the movie is this: Autobot Roster: Optimus, Arcee, Ratchet, Jazz, Bumblebee Decepticon Roster: Megatron, Starscream, Soundwave(with minions), Shockwave TFs come to earth in search of the matrix. (name may be changed to avoid mainstream audience confusion with wachowski films) Currently the film is undergoing one more rewrite before Michael Bay decides whether he officially attaches himself to the film or not. The producers are currently negotiating with car manufacturers for alt-modes. The area between the balls and the butt is a hotbed of terrorist activity. Oerwinde
Yeah he's not bad. He's suited for a Transformers movie. Wouldn't want him directing a Transmet movie or anything, but giant robots fighting with lots of explosions is right up his alley. Spider
The writers even came in a couple times to touch base with the fans. One of the writers, John Rogers, does plenty of interacting on his blog. Not so much on the Transformers movie though, although he has mentioned the re-writes sucking up a lot of time. It's very good for anyone interested in screenwriting. And for those who got us on the topic of giant mecha, The starship troopers did have a giant ubernastrum of a body suit. For those of you who've seen the Space Marines from Warhammer 40k, think those only with tacnukes attached to the shoulders. The MI suits were what inspired half the "armored infantry" in sci fi in the first place. Warhammer ripped off Starship Troopers and starcraft ripped off warhammer.
