Surreptishus Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 the thing is you may not find it funny if it is the first time you have heard of it. Think of it as the teller playing a joke on his audience.
LoneWolf16 Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 Yet another near miss on the Obsidian forums. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Wouldn't that be a near "hit". Oh, and you people sicken me...in the good way I had thought that some of nature's journeymen had made men and not made them well, for they imitated humanity so abominably. - Book of Counted Sorrows 'Cause I won't know the man that kills me and I don't know these men I kill but we all wind up on the same side 'cause ain't none of us doin' god's will. - Everlast
Gabrielle Posted October 29, 2005 Author Posted October 29, 2005 Since any ban requires that there be some form of authority to uphold it, doesn't banning authority create a paradox? Don't you realise that creating a paradox may cause the universe to cease to exist? I can't believe how cavalier you people are. Yet another near miss on the Obsidian forums. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Ban please! You broke the sacred rule of thinking. You are not allowed to think but do as you are told.
thepixiesrock Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 Ban please. Dark Moth Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 Ban please. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Asking others to be banned! Ban please!
Darth_Schmarth Posted October 29, 2005 Posted October 29, 2005 Let's just ban everyone and get it over with. ^Asinus asinorum in saecula saeculorum

Bokishi Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 How about everyone who joined during 2005 gets banned? Current 3DMark
Dark Moth Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 (edited) How about just everyone who's posted in this thread? " And just to annoy pixies: " " " " " " " " Edited October 30, 2005 by Mothman
Darth_Schmarth Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 Like I said: Ban everyone. Simple and elegant solution. Issue disappears, thread disappears, bans disappear, posters disappear. I fail to see the cons here. ^Asinus asinorum in saecula saeculorum
Gabrielle Posted October 30, 2005 Author Posted October 30, 2005 Ban the mod monkeys that like closing good threads (like The Bastila Fan one) and delete/edit posts.
Dark Moth Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 I wouldn't mind threads being deleted so much if: a) we at least got notification and reasons for deletion. That would at least be courteous. <_< b) the mods didn't show eratic patterns as far as deletion. Some relatively harmless threads get deleted, while far worse threads merely get a lockdown. It doesn't make sense. Mod judgement seems to be capricious. <_<
Darth_Schmarth Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 The mods are counted as part of the broad category "everyone". ^Asinus asinorum in saecula saeculorum
metadigital Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 Maybe the mods are dyslexic, and they have (collectively) read their job title as gods, and they are trying to carry out Greek tragedy-type work on the fora ...? OBSCVRVM PER OBSCVRIVS ET IGNOTVM PER IGNOTIVS OPVS ARTIFICEM PROBAT
Raphael Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 Reading this thread I get an impression that mods here are pretty harsh or I just can't see properly because of all the spam? "
metadigital Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 You need new Ban-Spam goggles. A must for denizens and visitors alike! OBSCVRVM PER OBSCVRIVS ET IGNOTVM PER IGNOTIVS OPVS ARTIFICEM PROBAT

Raphael Posted October 30, 2005 Posted October 30, 2005 (edited) Ban, ban, ban! <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Pax Tecum If the mods were harsh I wouldn't be here to share my endless source of wisdom with you, Raph (and I already call you by nickname).
